Kissing the Dr (Healing Love)

“You’re beautiful, Megs.” His words were soft and a bit gravelly, his eyes filled with love and affection for me. The parts of me that were still the old Megan and the newly uncovered parts. He loved all of me and that felt pretty damn good. “How did I get so lucky?”
“It’s that chivalrous streak of yours. You just had to go and save me from Wally Strickland and his school lunch program.”
Surprise colored his face pink. “Best move I ever made. Met my best friend and my best girl that day. The love of my life.”
“Careful, Dr. Jackson, your words are turning me on and I can’t let your dad marry us with hard nipples.” Luckily for us both, Bob kept the ceremony short and sweet, and in less than ten minutes, we were married again, our love, and the promise to maintain and grow that love, renewed in front of the town that shaped us.
“That was perfect, Megs. Perfectly us,” Casey whispered the words in my ear as the whole crowd clapped, whistled and cheered for us. “I loved it and I love you.”
“Love you too, Dr. Weirdo.”
He laughed and then he kissed me. Right there in front of all of our friends and family, he kissed me long and slow and deep.
Bob cleared his throat.
Casey laughed and kissed me a few seconds longer before he pulled back with a wide smile. “Now, if you’re up for it, we can do something about that arousal you mentioned earlier.”
“I happen to know there’s a pond just beyond that crop of trees over there.”
His blue eyes widened as the last surprise fell into place. “Isn’t that the place where we…for the first time?”
I shivered at the memory of the first time he put his mouth, his tongue, between my legs. “It is.”
Casey scooped me in his arms and took off at a full run. “What the hell are we waiting for.” He laughed and I laughed, and it really was just like old times, when we were teenagers. So in love and so turned on, we couldn’t wait to find somewhere private to touch. To kiss. To taste.
This was our second chance, or maybe our third chance, and I fully planned to grab it with both hands. To make the most of every day we had together, to enjoy every moment with our growing family and to love this man more and more with every passing day.
