Out in Winter (Out in College 8)

Drew barked a quick laugh and opened the door. I followed him outside, thinking there might be an analogy to be made…something about following him anywhere at any time. Something sappy that might make him blush or roll his eyes. I lived for that. For him.

This man was my heart, my truth, my reason, my everything. I knew I was his. I reminded him to laugh. He reminded me to trust my instincts, and to trust us. Our future was bright. I was grateful to build a life with this man…out in winter and always.
