She curved her body against his, her knees gripping each side of his hips as they moved slickly together. Drago’s rocking motions began to speed up, and Katrina wasn’t sure she would be able to keep up. His gentler movements became harder, firmer, the mouth on her breast leaving to catch hers in a kiss that stole what little oxygen she had left.
On a hard thrust, she felt the mysterious climax she had read about in books, making the other ones she’d had pale in comparison to this. It ripped through her in waves of pleasure that she would have never believed if she hadn’t experienced it for herself. Drago’s loud moan being the only thing that dragged her back to earth, running her hands over his shoulders and down his back as he shook in her arms. If she hadn’t watched, she would have missed the expression on his face, and it was one she would always remember.
Reaching up, she cupped his face, her thumb rubbing over the shadows that were almost gone. “I love you too.”
Forty-Three
So Long As You Both Shall Live
Kat stood on the beach holding her husband’s hand. He had surprised her by whisking her away for a week, so they could have a honeymoon.
A man with leis around his neck began to speak. “Katarina, do you take Drago to be your wedded husband to live together in marriage? Do you promise to love him, comfort him, honor and keep him for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and health, and forsaking all others, be faithful only to him so long as you both shall live?”
And to get married, as Drago had called it, for real this time.
She also planned to surprise him with a gift of her own later tonight, deciding to finally take the De Santis name. However, Kat wouldn’t be leaving her old name behind. It had taken too long to finally be proud to bear the Luciano name and she wasn’t giving that up now. Katarina Luciano-De Santis, sounded like a badass name that she deserved.
Smiling up at him, she didn’t have to choke the words out this time. “I do.”
“And do you, Drago, take Katarina to be your wedded wife, to live together in marriage? Do you promise to love her, comfort her, honor and keep her for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and health, and forsaking all others, be faithful only to her, for as long as you both shall live?”
Drago’s fierce but loving eyes stared back at her, matching the red wedding dress she had wanted to wear just for that reason. “I do.”
You
There isn’t much that could keep me from you,
Not even the hateful words you spew.
Not even the mark on my face
Not even the tears I shed.
There is so much that should keep me from you,
But my mouth stays quiet
My feet stand still
Until I am ready
To part from
You.
