“I’m sure you could have used your friend’s phone or one at the office.”

“This isn’t really something you want to discuss on the phone.”

He moved closer to her. “Are you going to tell me why you went there or not?”

“I’m trying to figure out if you’ve redeemed yourself enough to know.”

“Please.” Andrei came to the closest to begging that he’d ever gotten in his life. Even when Trish had made her case for primary custody of their girls, he hadn’t begged like this. “Just tell me. Are you pregnant?”

She nodded before finally saying, “Yes. I’m pregnant.”

He sat in one of her chairs to let all of it sink in. Before he speculated, but now that he knew it was real and right there in front of him. Too many thoughts passed through hi smind. Was he ready for another kid? His family hadn’t e

ven met Victoria yet. Then there was the shock factor after they met her. Although his family was mostly made up of accepting people, he’d never brought a woman home to meet them after he’d divorced Trish, especially not one carrying his baby.

“Can you please say something? Silence is never good when you’re in the room with a lawyer.”

Andrei looked up at her, but he remained silent. He could see the lines of nervousness etched in her face, and he didn’t like that look on her one bit. She was beautiful, and he hated that he was the source of worry. She had the flawless face of a woman that he was falling in love with. No, that wasn’t right. He’d already fallen.

He was hers, and he felt it with every inch of his being. Now, she was going to have his baby. His and hers.

He stood up and walked up to her. “We are going to have a baby!” This time he didn’t care if she slapped him or not. He had to kiss her and reassure her that he would accept this baby. He was still stunned, but this was a baby that was made from the most passionate moments of his life. The baby was truly a child conceived in pure love. He could never regret something like that.

She seemed taken aback by his reaction. “You’re happy.”

“As long as you don’t make me leave again. I hated being away from you.” He touched her cheek with a single finger.

A laugh finally took away the seriousness that had stayed on her face since he arrived. “It’s been less than a day.”

He pulled her closer to him, loving the way she fit in his arms so perfectly. He smelled her clean scent. “Still too long. I never want to be away from you or our baby.” He didn’t say so, but the idea of spending the rest of his life with her was quickly growing on him.

“You know you’re crazy, right?”

“I know you’re starting to love my crazy. Admit it. A sporadic trip to Montego Bay, and now we’re here.”

“Is that all you are going to say? We need to discuss this, all of it, like responsible adults.”

Andrei said, “Probably. I have to think about what’s best for you, the baby, and me. I’ll come to a decision about it soon.”

“Excuse me, but who’s carrying this baby, Rusak?”

He grinned. He kind of like how she used his last name when she needed to make a point. Damn fine lawyer in and out of the courtroom. “That would be you, Bellamy.”

“Exactly. This isn’t a dictatorship. If anything, it’s a partnership.”

“Yes, ma’am.” He nuzzled her neck. “Does this mean I’m forgiven for all of my crimes and transgressions?”

“You’re going to have to put in a lot of service hours before we can even mention forgiveness,” Victoria said as she kissed him on the cheek.

He groaned, feeling his cock hardening more for her. God, he needed her or he was going to lose it. “I like being of service to my public servant.”

“That’s a start,” she giggled as he grabbed the tip of her ear with his sharp teeth. “But if this is going to work…”

“No more serious talk tonight, please,” he said. “I need you, Victoria.” He pressed himself into her to hit home his point. “Need you so bad. Let me take you to bed.”

“But I haven’t eaten anything.”

“It’s not food I’m craving right now. If you let me eat you, I promise to feed you and my little one well later.” He was relieved when she let him pull her up and lead her to the bedroom, and he was going to keep her there until morning unless they ate a midnight snack in the kitchen.
