“You’re the sexy one,” Aaron tossed back, offering his neck, enjoying the small kisses Kreed kept giving him. He was under sensual assault with Kreed doing his best to talk him into doing the naughty right here in the bar. God, it was getting harder and harder to resist this man.
The dance floor was dark enough that Aaron, with the few drinks he’d had tonight, felt reasonably secure that the way Kreed was grinding on his body wouldn’t be noticed by anyone in the bar. It was late and the place seemed open to almost anything, even if borderline inappropriate.
Aaron rolled his hips as Kreed nibbled along his neck with evil lips. But now, as he swayed to the song with Kreed’s big body wrapped around his, Aaron was so fucking horny, his ass clenched each time Kreed ran his hands over his butt cheeks.
“I need you.” Kreed’s warm breath cooled the wet path his tongue had left on Aaron’s skin as he whispered against his ear.
Aaron shivered and again rolled his hips against Kreed’s.
“You’re bad,” Aaron replied. Kreed tightened his hold on Aaron, forcing him to arch his back as Kreed leaned in to him.
“I’m really into you.” Kreed nibbled along his jaw.
“I like you too,” Aaron confessed, wrapping his arms around Kreed’s neck.
“But you’re not gonna let me do you here, are you?” Kreed asked, his lips by his ear again. He loved that move. Hell, he loved any move where Kreed’s lips were on him. But who would have known how much he’d love having someone whispering in his ear like that.
“Not here.” Aaron brushed his lips along the length of Kreed’s neck.
“I tried to get you drunk so I could have my way with you,” Kreed replied.
“I know you tried. You get an A for effort.”
Kreed lifted his head and looked deeply into his eyes. Aaron could lose himself in that dark chestnut gaze and had many times over. Aaron resisted the urge to kiss the tipsy deputy marshal. He glanced up and caught a rare moment of vulnerability crossing Kreed’s handsome face. The look so intense, he drew back, but Kreed locked him tightly in place with strong arms.
“I’m falling, Stuart. If you’re not there with me, you should probably say something before I make a fool of myself,” Kreed confessed.
Aaron’s pulse jumped at Kreed’s words. He lifted his hands to Kreed’s face and continued to stare deeply in those beautiful eyes he couldn’t resist. Absolutely he was falling. Hell, he had already tumbled head over heels.
He didn’t know when it had happened. Despite his best efforts to avoid it—to keep it purely physical and temporary—he’d let Kreed in and there was no denying that to himself any longer. Man, he wanted to say it, especially right then. Kreed had made this night so special; no one had ever done anything like this for him. He had been wined and dined. Kreed ordered just about everything on the menu because he knew Aaron liked food. Then came the dancing… Damn, the dancing was hot. Kreed made him feel wanted and they connected in a way he’d never connected with another person. He could sway on this dancefloor with this man forever. Aaron swallowed hard.
For the first time in his life, he wished he was just a guy that worked for the NSA. When he’d made the decision to do what he did, he hadn’t understood how much he would truly have to give up. He hated the fact that he couldn’t ever be completely honest with Kreed. Lying to this man ate at him every day, and that feeling only intensified as he got to know more of him and wished he could be so much more for Kreed.
“You’re intoxicated,” Aaron finally answered. Kreed glanced down to Aaron’s mouth as he said the words.
“You’re intoxicating,” Kreed whispered before taking his lips.
He opened for Kreed, and tilted his head to deepen the kiss. The kiss was the most intense of his life, so intimate and raw. Kreed made love to him through that kiss, and Aaron could only wrap himself tighter around Kreed and try to hang on as the emotions he tried to deny wrenched his heart wide open.
When Kreed broke away and pulled back, he captured Aaron’s eyes again with his penetrating gaze. Aaron had no trouble spotting Kreed’s intuitive side in that look as the deputy marshal kept trying to read him. Aaron should have learned by now he couldn’t hide behind words with Kreed; the man was too savvy.
“I’ll give you more time, but you need to be honest with me. Every day I’m falling a little deeper. We’re close to no turning back. You need to stop what’s happening and spare me from the hurt later on if you’re not feeling it now.”
No question, Kreed had been good to him—so willing to explore the depths of their attraction, never hiding behind the pain of the past. He was more open than any person he’d ever met. Even now, when he was certain to be hurt if Aaron pulled away, Kreed was willing to give him time to explore his feelings. The honesty and goodness this man shared with him gave Aaron a rare moment of certainty, and he spoke from the heart.
“I’m caught up in you, Sin, but I can’t see how any of this can continue past this week. Life’s gonna complicate this. I’m gonna complicate this.”
“You’re putting the cart before the horse. Right now is all I’m asking for. It’s enough to know you’re experiencing this with me. We’ll cross that other bridge when it’s time,” Kreed spoke softly, his gaze dropping to Aaron’s lips. “I’m so fucking addicted to your mouth.”
Aaron lifted his lips for a kiss and slid his lids closed as Kreed met him halfway. Aaron threaded his fingers in Kreed’s short hair, trying to press as much of himself against Kreed as he could. Swept away, Aaron deepened the kiss, but Kreed cut him off, placing both hands on his face to create distance. That commanding and deeply intense look settled back in Kreed’s eyes. What was he trying to figure out now?
