Three Little Mistakes (Blindfold Club 3)

She grinned. “Okay.”
I followed her in under the rainfall showerhead, closing the glass door behind us. I couldn’t keep my hands off of her and she sighed into my touch.
“This is nice.” Her voice echoed off the tile.
“Yeah.” And it was. So much so, I was annoyed when she stepped out of my embrace and grabbed a bottle of body wash. Her hands slicked the soap over our bodies and lingered on my ink. “Careful. It’ll wash off.”
She giggled, tipsy. “Nothing lasts forever.”
I crushed my mouth to hers, letting the steam envelop us. Her fingers traced a line along my jaw, edging the stubble. The shower swayed, a side effect when my tongue slipped into her greedy mouth. Kissing didn’t arouse me until her. Her hand curled, grabbing a fist of hair at the base of my neck.
She sipped air through parted lips as I walked her backward, leaning her against the tile so we could be out of the water falling from the ceiling. I rested my palms on either side of her head, flat against the cool tile, and it forced her to look up at me.
God, those hazel eyes. “You’re so beautiful, Noemi.”
She swallowed a breath. “Thank you.” A shy smile crossed her lips, but her eyes gave nothing away. I needed to know how she felt. It was odd and interesting that I couldn’t read her like other people.
“You have to tell me if I pushed you too much.” Because once again I’d thrown her into the deep end and demanded she swim without asking if she could.
Her head thumped back to the tile and her eyes closed, not giving me a response. Shit. My blood pressure spiked, and I scrambled to fix the mistake I’d made. “Hey, it’s okay,” I said. “I’m sorry.”
Her eyes popped open and she looked bewildered. “Sorry? For what?” Her hands latched on my face, gripping me fiercely. “No, don’t be sorry, Joseph. I liked it.” She wen
t breathless and her voice dropped to a hush. “Part of me wants to know when we can do it again. I can’t—”
She cut herself off, and I didn’t like it. “Finish that sentence.”
“I can’t seem to,” her expression was nervous, “get enough of this. I feel like I’m addicted.”
My heart was going to race out of my chest. “Addicted?”
She rose up onto the balls of her feet and her lips trailed across my neck. “To you, Sir.” My eyes closed and I allowed the sensation of her to surround me. Soft, wet skin caressing mine. Fingertips exploring the contours and ridges of my body. Her mouth licking and nipping at me.
“Come to Hawaii with me.”
Where the hell did that come from? It had only been a fleeting thought when I’d noticed her spring break aligned with Conner’s ceremony. The sound of water rushing from the showerhead was deafening. I couldn’t hear anything else. She wasn’t breathing. Noemi’s hands tensed on my skin, and she slid down the wall until she was flatfooted. Her eyes were enormous.
“You’re going to your brother’s thing?”
“You made a good point.” I pulled away from the wall and stood straight. “I don’t know when the last time I did something for him was, and he’s always there for me.”
She tucked her hands behind her against the wall, like she was worried she’d touch me and I wouldn’t allow it. “When is it?”
“During your spring break.” Why did my voice sound so eager?
“You want me to meet your brother?”
Oh, Christ. I hadn’t thought this through. “Uh, my parents will be there, too.”
I’d thought her eyes were enormous before, but now I was aware she had another level. A voice in my mind screamed to backtrack. She was Mr. Red’s daughter. The deeper I got in with her, the harder it was going to be to get out.
What if you don’t want out?
“Are you asking me,” she said softly, “or is this an order?”
“It’s a question.” Fuck, was I really doing this? “I’d pay for the trip.”
Her gaze dropped down to her toes, then slowly worked its way back up to mine, a hint of a smile in her expression. “Okay.” Her smile widened. “Sure.”
