“Everything all right there?” called out Mary from the bonfire, but Cole stifled a laugh in the crook of Ned’s neck before shouting back.

“Ned’s being clumsy again. Goodnight!”

Ned snorted, but was too aroused to focus on the humor of his blunder and bucked his hips against Cole’s, running his fingers up and down the muscular back. How could a man—a member of the supposedly uglier sex—be this alluring? “Sorry,” he mumbled, but Cole silenced him with a kiss and rolled his hips against Ned’s with the passion of a man on his wedding night.

He was just Ned O’Leary, with red hair, freckles, and a nose that was too big for his face, yet this stunning man touched him as if he couldn’t get enough, already kissing his way down Ned’s chest.

It took Ned two seconds to realize what Cole was doing, but as much as he wanted those hot lips around his unbearably stiff prick, he was far more desperate for tenderness. He pulled on Cole’s arm, urging him up.

“Do it with your hand,” he whispered. “I need to be kissing you.”

Cole’s eyes flashed, and he moved back up, pressing his face to the side of Ned’s neck. His mouth opened, teeth rolled over flesh, but when Cole’s tongue and lips soothed the slight burn, Ned’s cock twitched. Cole grabbed the hem at the front of Ned’s shirt and pulled it far up, exposing underwear, and then popped its buttons open one by one, to see hairy flesh.

Ned blinked, shocked by the force with which Cole sucked on his neck but spread his legs wide for the descending hand, ignoring the broken wood digging into his back. When Cole’s fingers wrapped around Ned’s cock, their touch was all that mattered. The hot, soft lips were back on his, and Cole rocked against him as he started tossing Ned off at a rapid pace. His slick hand went up and down while the kiss deepened, Cole’s tongue fucking his mouth in an expression shared desire.

“Your dick feels so good in my hand. So hard. And Hot. And it tasted so damn good,” Cole whispered between kisses, sliding one arm under Ned’s nape as he tugged on Ned’s pulsing prick in the silence of their tent.

At the back of Ned’s mind was the worry that someone might overhear them, or peek inside just for the heck of it, but fear couldn’t compete with the drive to keep going.

His toes curled, hips arched toward Cole’s hand as if he were fucking it, and he came, stifling his moan against Cole’s lips. He could have cried from the joy of this release. Unlike at the lake, he’d given in this time and had no qualms about this lovely yet forbidden thing they’d done, even though future was bound to bring many questions about the nature of their relationship.

Ned slid his arms under Cole’s and hugged him, still panting as Cole let go of his cock.

“I didn’t know any of this was possible with another man,” he whispered as sudden shyness curled up his insides. Still, he would not deny what happened and kissed Cole’s ear while the slender hand that was still warm from rubbing his prick stroked his damp stomach and chest.

Cole smirked, pushing his knee between Ned’s thighs before rolling close so he lay on his side while resting some of his weight on top of Ned. “I’ve wanted this for a long time.”

“So… I’m your first man?” Ned asked, despite it making him sound needy as a calf calling out for its mother. He let his hands roam over the plains of Cole’s clothed body, dreaming of a time when they could be naked and free from having to watch themselves around people.

Cole pressed his forehead to Ned’s and nuzzled his cheek. “I’ve kissed one before. But he didn’t like that at all.”

Ned shouldn’t have been happy to hear about Cole’s disappointment but couldn’t help it. He longed to be special to Cole, to be his one focus. “I… for a long time, I thought I was broken. I told you, women didn’t affect me the way they do other men, and I didn’t—I couldn’t even imagine that this was what I needed.” The invisible threads tied to his ribs pulled them together, overwhelming his already strained heart. As if he couldn’t handle the joy of finding someone who understood him and felt the same way.

“You were never broken. Maybe you were just meant to find me,” Cole said, and despite the guitar playing out of tune somewhere close, all Ned could hear was the soft whisper.

Ned couldn’t reconcile the sweet words with neither a good friend, nor a man in lust with another. Men couldn’t be romantic with each other, could they? He entwined his legs with Cole’s.

“At first I felt offended that you might have hunted me down just for this, but now I’m glad for it.” He pulled Cole’s face up with both hands and smiled. “You can hunt me down every night.”
