“You’re so stunning when you come…” Ned mumbled with his cheek against the pillow. He lay still, happily tired, and his stretched hole didn’t hurt one bit, still throbbing with heat around the stiff cock inside him. If someone had told him the bed was made of clouds, he’d believe them.
Cole was still finding his breath, but he squeezed Ned’s fingers and nuzzled his cheek, inhaling loudly as if he wanted to keep the scent of this moment in memory forever.
“I—you’re the one for me, Neddie. I just know it.”
Ned was still panting, but turned his head to get a glimpse of his lover from up close. “I don’t know if you’ve gathered, but I came so damn hard. I had no idea it could feel so good.” He raised his hips a little and rubbed his buttocks against Cole like a happy colt that had just learned it was fun to wear the saddle.
Cole pulled out of him gently, as if he worried he might still hurt Ned after the sawing he’d given him, and rolled Ned over, only to drop on top like a dead weight. “Tell me,” he whispered but instantly shut Ned up by sliding his tongue in his mouth for a long, wet kiss that had them both clinging to one another.
Ned wasn’t even embarrassed anymore. “Oh, Cole… there’s this spot inside, and… when your cock rubbed against it, might as well been a shooting star sent to my prong. And it got even better as I got used to it. I’m not surprised some women like this. In fact, I would not be surprised if it was forbidden for the exact reason of being more pleasurable than being poked where babies are made.” He cupped Cole’s face and kissed him while his heart rattled with the filthy joy of his discovery.
Cole grinned like the rogue he was, his one hand sliding under Ned’s nape while the other ran up and down his body, caressing sweaty skin while the pleasant aroma of their juices and sweat settled, helping them calm down. “No one knows but men like us.”
But Ned only had eyes for Cole. No other men like them needed to exist, as far as he was concerned, because no one could ever hold a candle to Cole. That would always be his truth.
Chapter 23
Cole smelled of soap, and as Ned buried his nose in the damp strands falling to his lover’s shoulders, all he could think of was that he’d love to do this every evening.
The exclusive use of the saloon’s single tub, with fresh water at that, cost a small fortune, but when Ned tightened his arms around Cole’s form and rested against the copper slope behind him, he couldn’t imagine a moment more worthwhile of the steep price.
A soft hum escaped Cole’s lips when he looked over the shoulder, stretching his legs as much as he could without taking his feet out of the warm shallows. “How are you feeling?”
“Like I don’t want this night to end,” Ned murmured and kissed his way along the tempting curve of Cole’s neck. He’d never been this happy, even though his life had its share of good times. Nothing could compare to this perfectly fulfilling moment.
“No, dumbass. I mean after what we did earlier,” Cole said, grinning as he turned in Ned’s arms. He rested his cheek on Ned’s shoulder, his eyes shining bright, as if their color couldn’t contain the fire roaring inside him.
Ned chuckled and stroked Cole’s black strands. “What? Was I being too romantic for your liking?”
Cole hid his face in Ned’s throat, kissing it gently. “No. I’m sorry. Just wanted to make sure it all worked out.”
“Oh it worked out mighty well for me. So I sure hope you enjoyed yourself too…” Ned ran his wet fingers over the hills of muscle on Cole’s arm, tracing the little black hairs in an attempt to remember each one.
Cole rolled against him, until his greedy lips captured Ned’s in a kiss so sweet they both slid deeper into the soapy water. “I feel like a real man when I’m with you,” Cole said, spreading his palm in the middle of Ned’s chest and rubbing him in a way that was gentle yet firm enough to produce heat.
“You opened up this whole new world for me. I had no idea two men could be together like this. I’d hear the vague joke here and there, but you’re more than just a friend to me.” Ned’s fingers descended all the way down Cole’s spine, in awe of his shape, even though he’d seen it so many times already.
A soft shudder traveled the long lines of Cole’s form, but he crawled closer, as if he wanted to hide under Ned’s skin if it were a possibility. “I never felt like this either. There’s been companionship, fondness, yes. But not this. My heart feels so tight. As if you were holding it,” he whispered.
