Take My Body (Curse Bound 2) - Page 83

And while he loved drinking cum, gagging on Caspian’s dick, and getting drilled from behind, there was also a softer side to Caspian’s desire.

He was an amazing kisser and could be so gentle and sweet when the mood was right. No one had ever been so tender with Gunner before, and it was as if in those new bodies, they’d become one another’s perfect partners.

A part of Gunner, which wanted to remain cautious, suggested that maybe he was just drunk on being with a guy for the first time, but did the cause of his affection matter when Caspian pulled him close, making butterflies flutter in Gunner’s stomach until his knees got soft?

Caspian always caught him in such moments of weakness.

“We could, you know. I was planning to tell my parents sometime,” Caspian said.

Gunner laughed, but stilled the moment Caspian’s brows gathered in a deep frown. “Oh. You’re serious. Me? As in… this body? You would introduce this guy,” he poked Caspian’s chest, “as your boyfriend to your parents?”

A scowl passed through Caspian’s features, but he wouldn’t let go of Gunner and led him into the main aisle of the supermarket. “They’d need some convincing, but we could make up a story about me overcoming the challenges of my upbringing and all that. Then, I wouldn’t have to sneak in and out through the window every night to get to my boyfriend.”

Gunner’s toes curled inside his new grey-pink sneakers, but he tried to sound casual when he spoke. “Yeah? We’re a thing?”

He hadn’t been sure, because their relationship had gone from vengeful to caring so fast his mind was barely keeping up with it. They’d come a long way since agreeing to fuck for practical reasons on that first day.

He liked being in Caspian’s company, and while at times he didn’t get Caspian’s jokes or misunderstood the meanings of difficult words, Caspian always explained them to him or changed the topic before Gunner could have felt inadequate. Gunner, on the other hand, had introduced Caspian to the joys of ’90-Day Fiancé and it turned out Caspian wasn’t above enjoying trashy TV shows. They now even had an inside joke about the universe giving them a ninety-day trial run.

While their lives had been nothing alike, none of that mattered when they were together, joking around or being there for each other, as if fate itself was pointing out that they were way less different than it seemed on the surface.

“Of course we are, so you better not flirt with anyone else.”

Gunner loved how confident Caspian was about this. He wanted them to be together and said it so plainly, without any ifs nor buts.

The shrill ring of Gunner’s phone spoiled the perfect moment between the cereal aisle and the checkout, but he picked up the video call as soon as he saw Noah’s name on the screen.

“What’s up?”

His brother kept one of his eyes shut to protect it from bright sunlight, and wind swiped his coily hair into his face, but that stopped once he went into shadow. “You must hear thi—are you with Cas?” Noah asked when Caspian peeked over Gunner’s shoulder.

“Yeah, I was just showing him where to get the good protein powders.”

Nothing to see here. Your brother isn’t a little cum bucket.

“That’s good,” Noah said, undisturbed. “You won’t believe this. I just came over to Madge’s, and she told me there’s more people in town, who’ve been affected by some weird magic!” he said, and the video shook before showing Mad Madge’s bright pink cheek from way too close. Noah helped her adjust the phone, and she cleared her throat, offering Gunner a smile.

“What a pretty boy! Is that your friend, Noah?”

“Hello,” Caspian said, resting his hand on Gunner’s shoulder.

“So what’s the magic, Madge?” Gunner asked skeptically because everyone in town knew her as the local eccentric, and she didn’t make any sense half the time. He was inclined to believe she was just imagining things, but since Noah was so eager to help, Gunner didn’t want to dismiss it.

She exhaled and pulled off her pink shades to reveal watery blue eyes weighed down by dark brown eyeshadow. “See, a few years ago, those two men came to my trailer and accused me of witchcraft. They said I made them feel each other’s pain, and they showed me that when one was cut, the other got the same wound out of nowhere. It was really strange.”

Gunner stilled, catching Caspian’s serious expression in the corner of his eye. “Are you sure this happened when you were sober? Do you remember who they were?”

Noah pushed his way into the screen. “I know one of them. I mean not know-know, but Madge told me who he is. He’s a musician and does gigs at Tony’s bar on Saturdays.”

Madge pushed him out of the way and pointed her finger at the phone. “Wait, wait... I know you. You’re that boy who wanted to be bigger. Couldn’t open my jar—”
