Sadie's Game (Ashby Crime Family) - Page 59

Almost.

My pussy clamped tight around his as my orgasm bloomed, and his hand moved from my neck to my hips, pounding harder and harder until his warm seed splashed deep.

“Oh, fuck, Sadie. Sadie. God damn, I love you!”

My orgasm hit at the same time as those words came crashing out of his mouth. I didn’t know what the fuck to do. Didn’t know what to say.

So, I closed my eyes and let his words blend with the erotic pleasure that swamped my body, and I rode the goddamn waves.

Chapter Twenty-Two

Sadie

“For fuck’s sake, Jasper, you’re making me dizzy with that pacing!” My oldest son was on edge, more so than usual, and it made me regret that I was keeping a straight head these days because I could really use another fucking drink. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing,” he growled, but he kept up the damn pacing as he glanced down at his watch. “Where the fuck is he? It’s a short drive.” This whole thing with Agent Beck was taking a toll on Jasper’s ability to remain calm, which was always his best quality.

Another reason to hate the bitch.

“He is right here,” Jameson said from the doorway of my office. Arms folded with a crooked smile on his face, I had a feeling he liked getting a rise out of Jasper.

“Worried I wouldn’t show up?”

He pushed off the door frame and stepped inside the office, closing the door behind him.

“No.” Jasper stopped pacing and ran a hand through his hair, another sign of just how stressed he was. “More like I was concerned Beck was suspicious and held you up on purpose.”

Jameson grinned. “Maddie is here with Ava Rose, and as far as Beck knows, I’m just here to pick her up.”

“Well, aren’t you so fucking clever,” Jasper growled.

Jameson shrugged and let out a low chuckle. “That’s why you want me, isn’t it?”

My son’s jaw clenched in annoyance at Jameson’s reminder that he was a necessary part of our business. Jasper didn’t like to negotiate. He was used to issuing an order and having his men fucking jump to do his bidding. “Right.”

Jameson took his time as he crossed the room and took one of the chairs opposite my desk, his gaze focused on mine.

“There’s audio and photo evidence of your meeting with Mueller. Beck thinks it’s a meeting, but even Marshall agrees it looks more like a date.”

I nodded. “That’s what I was hoping.” I was surprised to learn I was being watched for that long. “Can you get your hands on the evidence?”

“Possibly.” He knew he had negotiating power, and he planned to use it.

“Shouldn’t be an issue if we can come to agreeable terms.”

Jasper huffed and shook his head. “What the fuck does that mean? If you think you can fuck with us, Ellison, think again.”

Jameson smiled at Jasper’s outburst and held up his hands in a defensive gesture. “Nothing like that, just telling you how it is.”

He turned his gray eyes back to me, sober again.

“There’s also audio from an unrelated op in the room next to the one where Bonnie and Mueller were killed. It’s muffled, but the shots are pretty clear.”

“Fuck,” I whispered. How did I not know there was a fucking government operation going on in the room next door? “What are your demands?”

He let out a slow sigh and kept his eyes focused on my face. “Nothing too outrageous. Money, obscene amounts of money. Ugly. Fucking. Money. And stay the hell away from Madison and her sister. I don’t want either of them working for you.”

“The girls love Maddie,” Jasper insisted, mostly to be ornery like his father. “Selling ass is a lucrative part of our business.”

“I know. But Maddie is pregnant, and I don’t have time to worry about her safety because of her attachment to you and your family while looking over my shoulder at work.”

Jasper opened his mouth to protest, but I held up a hand to stop him.

“Fair enough. I’ll handle the Maddie situation.” I couldn’t fault a man for wanting to protect his family. It was more than Colm had ever done, and it made me respect him more.

“And Molly?”

I smiled. “She is a different story, isn’t she? Molly is a grown woman capable of making her own decisions.” Besides, a girl was wounded as that might decide that selling ass was her best way to make a living. “Half a million, and I’ll fire Maddie myself.”

Jameson sucked in a breath and let it out slowly as if reaching for patience. “Molly is family, and she’s damaged, hurt. No offense, but working for you won’t give her a shot at normalcy.”

“No,” Jasper growled. “Half a million, and we keep Maddie on payroll. We don’t need another fucking wounded chick walking around. Look how Bonnie ended up biting us in the ass.”
