Bond (Klein Brothers 1) - Page 67

It’s only an hour later that I had a sexual epiphany.

We’d just been discussing our childhoods, swapping stories about what we got up to and the hell we’d put our parents through, when she sat up, excitedly telling me a story, and I caught a glimpse of the side of her breast. Something so simple had a profound effect on my body, and without even saying anything, I reached over to the drawer with the box of condoms in it and pulled one out.

Seeing it in my hand, her eyes widened. “Again?”

“I can’t explain it,” I shrugged, pushing the comforter back and getting onto my knees to roll the rubber down my erection. “I think at this point, all it takes is you breathing, and I’m hard.”

Her eyes were glued to what I was doing—a common reaction from her now each time I did this.

Shoving the sheets away, I walked on my knees until I was between her thighs and lowered down to push one arm between her back and the mattress, and the other one under her ass so that I could lift her to straddle me in this position.

“Wrap your legs around me, baby.” Once they were in place, I lowered her back down toward the mattress again. “Put your arms behind you to rest on.”

Heidi didn’t argue, she just did what I asked, knowing it would all work in her favor anyway.

With her back arched and her pelvis at an angled position, I slowly pushed inside her. This was the third time we’d done this now, and the tightness and way she almost strangled me still hadn’t lessened.

Slowly I worked my entire length inside her, watching her to make sure she wasn’t in any discomfort or pain. Once I was tightly pressed up against her, I warned her, “Brace yourself.”

My withdrawal was slow, but the thrust back into her had force behind it that, if I hadn’t been supporting her back and ass still, would have put her flat on her back, ruining the angle of my penetration and the way I rubbed across the special patch just inside her.

My endurance and stamina were better after two orgasms, so I didn’t have to resort to reciting shit and could enjoy watching her face and the way her tits bounced with each snap of my hips as I plunged back inside her.

That’s when the epiphany hit me. Some people, even friends, are only meant to be in our lives for a short period of time. We can love them or care a great deal about them, but our paths split farther down the line, and we separate and go in different directions. Then there are the people who are meant to be with us on our paths until we die, and everything ends because of nature. I couldn’t see a future without Heidi in it, so she was definitely the latter.

And I was going to do everything I could to keep it that way.

Later, after she’d come with a scream and I’d growled through my own, I smiled, replete and happy with the knowledge I’d found my someone. I don’t know how I knew, but I just did.

Chapter Fourteen

Heidi

“Do you want to go to the zoo?” Bond asked Nemi as she stood deciding what to do for her birthday. She was having a party here tomorrow, but he wanted to do something special the day after for the three of us to celebrate it together.

“No,” she pouted. “I think it’s sad that the poor animals aren’t in their natural hababipat.”

Bond raised an eyebrow at me, making me smile. “Habitat,” I explained, figuring that’s what he was reacting to.

“I figured that,” he said dryly, winking at my daughter. “The way Nemi said it sounded way cooler, though. What I’m stuck on is her reaction to the zoo.”

“Ah. Yeah, she watches those nature programs on television sometimes, and there’s this British guy with the most amazing, calming voice who talks about natural habitats and animals existing within them.”

Bond pursed his lips slightly. “He has a point, as does Miss Nemi.” Then focusing back on my daughter, who was now spinning in the new skirt Aunty Sayla had bought her, he asked, “What ideas have you got there, birthday girl?”

Way the wrong question, but he’d soon find that out. After twenty minutes of her firing out ideas and excitedly talking about them, I glanced over my shoulder to see that Bond’s eyes looked slightly glazed as he listened to her talking about Frozen.

My three-year-old diva had just discovered the movie and was as enamored with it as everyone had been when it was first released. So much so, my poor Alexa probably never wanted to hear the request, “Alexa, play Let It Go.” Followed by further requests to play it again and again.
