“No,” he says when he breaks our kiss, releasing his hold on my hair to take a seat in the other chair. With how turned on I am right now you’d never know I just had two of the best orgasms of my life moments ago.
I don’t need a divorce attorney. What I’m going to need is a defense attorney after I murder my new husband.

Gabriella doesn’t know if she wants to kiss me or kill me. I’ll take either as long as she remains pressed against me while she does it.
I know I’m being a pushy jerk. There was no need to pull her hair or say I was going to spank her little ass, but the words came out of my mouth easily. I’m not a shy man. I always say what I want, but my own words had shocked me a bit.
But they felt damn right. Going off her body’s reaction and the way her eyes lit up, they feel that way to her too. Even if she’s not ready to admit it yet.
I had planned to wake up this morning and sweet talk my new little wife, to show her I’m not a jerk, but that plan isn't going the way I thought it would. Not with all this Neanderthal behavior she pulls out of me. I didn't even know it was inside of me. It has me wanting to take care of her and protect her.
Since she was a little girl, she’s been working for her family. It’s amazing how much you can learn about a person in a night. It didn’t take her long to tell me of her love of animals. I think it’s why she doesn't see that she overworks herself. Not that I’m one to talk.
Still, everyone needs to take a breath sometimes. She’s not only working herself too damn hard, but she's drowning in the process. The last few years have not been good for their small farm. They’re barely keeping their head above water, and my girl is the one carrying that burden.
She’d taken a job at a vet office to try and help make ends meet. Her parents didn’t want to take her money, but Gabriella pushed it off on them, saying it was what she owed them for rent. With the way she talks about her parents, I know it kills them to take this said rent money from her. But desperate times call for desperate measures.
I was able to get bits and pieces from Gabriella when it came to her parents. But from what she told me, they are good, hardworking people that love their girls and would do anything for their family. They are also weeks away from losing everything they’ve worked their entire lives for. I’m guessing that Travis fucker planned to help extend her loan, but he was going to have all kinds of strings attached to that shit. Ones that went straight to his dick.
“Stop growling, I’m eating.” She shoves a bite of pancake into her mouth. “Are we really not going to get an annulment?” she asks after she swallows her food.
“No,” I answer, changing the subject quickly. “How many horses do you want?”
“I’d settle for one horse.” She takes another bite of her breakfast. I need to find out more about this horse named Charlie that she’s smitten with. He’s lucky he’s a horse is all I’m saying.
“Was one always your goal even when you were saving up your money?” I push. They didn’t have horses on their land, which is crazy. The place is made for it. Gabriella had been saving for one since she was a little girl. Over the last few hard years, she’d poured that money from her savings back into her family's land. Two bad summers have all but ruined them.
“Man. I really did run my mouth last night.” Her tongue comes out to lick the syrup off of the corner of her lip. My cock goes hard instantly, picturing those lips wrapped around it.
“When we get a few horses are you going to teach me to ride?”
“Why are you doing this, Kenton? Is this about your brother or something?”
“No, I married you because I wanted to.”
“Seriously?”
“I don’t do things I don’t want to do, love. I can promise you that.” She stares at me for a long moment.
“I really do have to leave here soon. I have people relying on me.” She does. She might be able to handle it, but that doesn't mean she should always have to. Especially for the amount of time she’s been doing this shit.
“And you won’t let them down.”
“Not if I can help it.”
“All right.” I give. I don’t want to, but I do. I’m going to have to pick my battles. As much as I want to drag her back to Syn City with me, I know I can’t. She has a life and responsibilities here. Her little sisters depend on her, and I would never take her away from them.
