“No,” I say, shaking my head. “We’re gonna do it right. Everything about this baby will be different. Not better,” I add quickly. “Because I do not regret the six years I had with Vivian all to myself. Things work out the way they’re supposed to. I really believe that.”
“But this time we’ll go on this journey together,” Vic says, nodding his agreement. “And I’m not going to miss a single moment.”
I get a little lost in our moment as I picture everything that’s coming our way.
