At First Hate (Coastal Chronicles) - Page 57

“I should…” he fumbled.

“I’m on birth control.”

“You’re sure?”

“Derek, please,” I whispered.

He didn’t need to be told twice. He plunged forward, taking me hard and fast up against the door of his bedroom. His cock hit deep inside of me as he braced me up with his strong arms.

“More,” I gasped.

“Fuck,” was his only response.

He carried me across the room, laying me out flat in the bed. I stretched my arms out toward him, and he obliged by sliding back inside of me. We both groaned as we fit together.

“God, your pussy is so fucking wet.” He pulled out and slammed back into me. “So wet and tight for me.”

I pulled him down to me. Our lips meeting roughly. “More,” I begged.

“Needy little thing,” he teased. “Tell me what you want.”

“You, Derek. I want all of you.”

“I’m all yours. All yours.”

He grasped my hand in his, forcing it up over my head and then did the same with the other. Then, he drove into me with abandon. I saw stars as everything burst around me into oblivion. I came uncontrollably. A cry escaping my lips as my pussy clenched in tight pulses around his cock. He drove home one more time, hitting so deep that another gasp escaped my lips.

He finished in long shuddering movements. Then, he finally released my hands and kissed my swollen lips. “I missed you, Mars.”

“You’ve ruined me,” I said with a half-smile on my lips.

“Good,” he said, all cocky.

“And I thought my first kiss was the life-ruiner. The sex is…”

“Your first kiss?” He kissed along my jaw. “What do you mean?”

I flushed under his attention. I’d never planned to tell him this.

“Oh, now, I have to know. Tell me.” He kissed across my collarbone and to my neck. I squirmed under him, but he didn’t give an inch. “Come on. You can’t dangle something like that out there.”

I sighed. “You were my first kiss.”

He pulled back to stare at me. Clearly, that was not the answer he’d expected. “On Halloween?”

I nodded.

“I didn’t know that.”

“I didn’t exactly advertise it.”

“No wonder you were so mad at me.”

I laughed. “You make it so easy.”

He pressed another firm kiss to my lips. “Can’t say I’m upset I was your first. I want all the rest of your firsts.”

“I might allow that.”

My eyes slid shut as he held me tight in his arms. It was the most relaxed I’d been in years. Everything had been so pent-up and tense. Now, here in his arms, with nothing to do but enjoy myself, I found myself slipping toward sleep.

“Derek,” I whispered in the silence.

“Hmm?”

“Don’t leave in the morning.”

He sighed softly. “I’m never leaving you again.”

New York City

March 10, 2013

My internal clock woke me earlier than necessary. But all that eight a.m. lab work had gotten my body used to waking up at dawn. I stretched my arm overhead as I slowly came back to myself. An arm banded across my middle. Slow, heavy breathing filled the quiet room. My eyes adjusted to the dimness, and I made out the sleeping form of Derek Ballentine.

Not only had he not left in the morning, but he was still sleeping. I’d never seen him look quite so peaceful before. His hair had fallen forward in his face. It was messy from a night full of sex. His lips were slightly parted. I scooted in closer, pushing my body against his and lying on his pillow. His grasp around me tightened.

I gently dragged a finger across his bottom lip, up his jaw, around the shell of his ear.

Derek was here. He was… mine.

I bit my lip. After all this time, after being so careful, I’d fallen for him all over again. Maybe I’d never really gotten over him. But having him here again felt impossible. Yet it was real.

His eyes fluttered open. He pressed a kiss to my forehead. “Morning. What time is it?”

“Early.”

“Mmm,” he groaned, tugging me even harder against him. He rested his chin on the top of my head. “Sleep, my little planet.”

I snickered. “Your little planet?”

“Mars.” He cracked open one eye and smirked at me. “It’s better than how you react to Minivan.”

I huffed. “I’m coming around to Minivan when you say it.”

He rolled over so that I was crushed underneath him. “Oh yeah?”

“Does it make you that happy?”

“You make me happy.”

I ducked my chin at the words, a flush coating my cheeks. “Stop.”

He laughed and pressed a kiss to my lips. “I love when you blush.”

“It happens far too frequently.”

“But somehow not when I’m talking about how wet your pussy is.”

I blushed even harder and tried to hide my face. “Derek!”

“Or is that only when I’m inside of you?”

“Shh!” I crushed my lips against his again to get him to shut up. But he just laughed against me.

“Oh, I like this side of you,” he said with that cocky smirk.
