I used the opportunity to slide my legs from beneath the blanket. I could tell I wasn't wearing any pants and while that knowledge would have tempered my behavior a few minutes ago, now I was going to use it to my full advantage. "You know where my cell phone is?" I asked.

"Minna knows you're here," Zach responded.

"I figured. No, I actually want to see if I got calls from anyone else." I threw back the blanket as I spoke. By chance, I'd worn a pair of my sexier underwear. It was a tiny pair of navy briefs that tended to ride up my ass cheeks when I bent over and cupped my dick nice and snugly in the front. I did my best to ignore Zach as I stood up, making sure to give the man a clear view of my backside as I pretended to look for my clothes.

"Who are you expecting a call from?" Zach asked, his voice sharp. I felt like a kid in a candy store. How in the hell had I not realized any of this sooner? Oh yeah, maybe because I'd never considered myself overly attractive, so it hadn't occurred to me that maybe Zach would see me any differently than I did. I was decently muscled from my work, but I was still on the lean side. I just wasn't the kind of guy who would ever be as buff as Zach. And I wasn't tall and skinny and pretty like some of the guys that were so popular at the various gay clubs I’d been to. I considered myself merely average. Who knew that average was just fine with Zach?

"That guy I was with last night…" I began. Then I blanked on his name and realized maybe that wasn't such a bad thing. I sent a silent apology to the guy and said, "Ray or Rick or Rod—" I began.

"Rafe," Zach supplied, but not without irritation.

"Rafe," I repeated. I paused in my pretend searching for my clothes and murmured, "What an exotic name. He was hot, right? I mean, I know you're not into any of that, but if you were, you'd think he was hot, right?" I sent Zach a glance. His face was hard as granite and he had fisted his hands at some point. "I know I'm being shallow, but it's not like I'm looking for my future husband, you know? I just need to get—"

"You said you hadn’t been kissed," Zach snapped. His voice was loud in the small room.

"What?" I asked, more to buy myself some time because he’d caught me off guard with the statement.

"You said you hadn't been kissed since you were a kid. That you'd been waiting."

Did he actually seem angry? That didn't make any sense. For him to be angry, he would've had to feel like I was somehow betraying him. But how could you betray someone who didn't want what you were offering?

I shrugged my shoulders and then dropped my fingers to the waistband of my underwear and began fiddling with the material and running a fingertip through the hair leading up to my belly button. "It's not really Rafe's lips that I'm particularly interested in," I said. I spied my clothes on a chair in the corner, but took my time working my way over to them. I checked the pocket of my jeans and found my wayward phone. I pretended to look for a message, but since I probably hadn't had a chance to give Rafe my number, I knew there wouldn't be one. And I wasn't particularly disappointed by that fact. Rafe had been hot, and sweet too, but even in my drunken state, his hands on me had still felt wrong. I remembered letting him lead me to the back of the club and then outside. He’d been fondling me through my pants and I’d enjoyed that well enough, but there’d been this voice in my head the entire time reminding me that he wasn't Zach.

That was the voice I needed to silence for good.

I continued with my little experiment by eagerly checking my phone. There were tons of messages from Min, but I didn't bother reading any of them.

"He didn't message you," Zach bit out.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk," I said with a shake of my head. "Have you been invading my privacy?" I asked as I held up my phone. I expected Zach to be embarrassed, but instead, he stood up and strode toward me. I held my breath as he reached for my phone and then tossed it casually onto the bed. He didn't say or do anything else, so I wasn't sure what to make of the move. I shrugged my shoulders and said, "No matter. He's a regular at the club. I'm sure he'll be there tonight."
