“Come on! What are you waiting for?” she asked. “Fuck that pussy. And don’t hold back, I can take it.”

“You asked for it.”

Max pulled out until only the tip was inside her, then pushed back in. Her body welcomed the intrusion and her hips moved to meet his thrust. He repeated the motion, thrusting harder, deeper, faster. Avelyn grabbed a pillow and sank her face in it in an attempt to muffle her screams. She didn’t want to alert the whole castle, although that was probably too late anyway. The slap of skin against skin became louder, filling the room. Her walls throbbed around his rock-hard cock, and she tried to squeeze her pussy muscles from time to time to make the experience better for him. He moaned and slapped her butt, a sign that he liked it. He was dangerously close, so his right hand reached around to massage her clit. His fingers worked fast around the swollen nub, while his hips slammed against her butt, making her knees slip imperceptibly on the sheets. He held her in place with his left hand, and Avelyn held onto the pillow for dear life, her teeth sinking into the soft material. A second orgasm took over her body and senses, wiping her mind clear of any coherent thoughts. She screamed his name into the pillow, and felt his hot seed fill her tight, abused canal. His cock twitched inside her, and he thrust a couple more times, riding his own orgasm, whispering her name huskily.

They stayed like that for one long minute, her pussy milking the last drops of his cum. When he finally pulled out, she felt the hot liquid run down her thighs. She collapsed on her belly, with her face in the pillow and her arms stretched above her head. He fell on his back next to her, their bodies touching at the hips, his left arm resting lazily on her lower back.

“Wow!” she said. “Well, now I’m tired.”

He laughed and turned on his side to admire her lazy body spread carelessly on the sheets. “With the risk of repeating myself, you asked for it.”

She lifted her head and grinned at him. “Just let me rest for a while, then I’ll start asking again.”

He pushed the red curls away from her face and kissed her forehead. She leaned into his touch, eyes closed, humming deep in her throat, like a kitten that enjoyed the attention. He caressed her for a while, slowly, languidly, loving the feel of her flushed skin against his fingertips.

“I need to tell you something,” he said.

She snapped her eyes open. “I know. You’ve got some bad news, don’t you?”

“How did you know?”

“You had that look on your face when you came in.”

He smiled at the thought that she had begun to know him so well. He told her about the conversation he had had with Kevin and Ryan, and the plan they had set into motion. She listened silently, weighting his every word and decision. He could see it in her eyes, and he realized how good it made him feel. It was like it took a weight off his shoulders; the thought that if she found something wrong with his plan, she would let him know and they would fix it together.

“I guess there’s nothing much you can do right now,” she said after he finished. “We’ll just wait and see what Caleb and Daniel discover, and hope it will give us some clues about her whereabouts.”

He nodded and looked deep into her eyes. She moved her arms under her chest and pushed her body up, preparing to get off the bed and take a shower. “Wait,” he said. “There’s something else I need to tell you.”

“What?” Her eyes showed concern.

After a second of hesitation he continued. “This time it’s good news.”

“Oh…” She let herself fall back on the crumpled sheets.

“Dr. Stevens called to tell me there might be… something we can do to stop your transformation process.”

Avelyn’s eyes went wide with surprise and curiosity. She was at a loss for words. On one hand, she wanted him to continue, but on the other hand, she could hardly believe there was really something to be done, and she didn’t want to go through the pain of hoping she could save her baby only to have that hope shattered to pieces in a couple of weeks.

“I know what you’re thinking because I’ve thought the same things all day. He called in the morning, and I’ve racked my brain ever since, one minute jumping in excitement and relief at the idea that we might have a chance to make things right, the next minute falling into despair that it might be nothing more than false hope. I almost didn’t tell you. I… I didn’t want you to…”

Avelyn touched his lips, silencing him. “Shh… I’m glad you’ve changed your mind. Even if it’s false hope, we’re in this together. Tell me everything the doctor told you.”

Max smiled and released a breath he didn’t know he was holding. “He said there might be a cure for the werewolf venom. There is a pharmaceutical company that has been working illegally on it in its laboratories, and the doctor said the scientists and specialists have recently made a breakthrough.”

“That’s fantastic!” Avelyn sat up in bed. “That is amazing news! So what if it’s illegal? We only need a small dose, right?”

“Yeah… you see, that’s not all.” He couldn’t hide the sadness in his eyes. “The company is owned by none other than Councilor Arthur Harington.”

Avelyn’s shoulders dropped in defeat. “Shit.”

CHAPTER FOUR

The Cure

Max dialed the number and put the phone on speaker. He was in his chair behind the desk, cradling Avelyn’s feet in his lap. She had cleared the papers on half of the mahogany desk to perch her generous, sexy butt on it, and now she was leaning over the phone, every ring raising goosebumps on her skin.
