Valkyrie's Harem (Academy of Immortals 1) - Page 51

She slides over, lifting a leg over my body, straddling over my hips. “I think you can.”

Fuck.

Her mouth moves to my throat, sucking and licking her way to my collarbone.

I fight a groan, deep and guttural, buried low in my chest. “Valkyrie, I don’t think you want to do this.”

Not with me, I want to add but bite it back.

“I need it, badly. It hurts, Rupert.” She grinds down on me and despite my will, I’m hard and growing, proving that I need, or at least want it, too. I clench my jaw, the muscles so tight that I think it may snap. She purrs on top of me. “You do, too.”

I do. I absolutely do. But this isn’t why we’re here. We have a mission. A goal. The crusade comes first.

I swallow that desire. “No.”

“Rupert, forget the schoolgirl uniform and the braids and the fact we’re in this place. Pretend were back at the Nead and Morgan and the guys are fucking like rabbits. Don’t tell me you haven’t thought about doing it a million times.”

She’s not wrong and maybe…I mean, I’m doing her a favor right? It’s not her fault she’s been poisoned. She starts with my shirt, unfastening one button at a time. Her hands lay flat on my chest, stroking my skin. Reactively, my muscles twitch, loving the feel. She places her lips on my flesh. A jolt of energy courses between us. All rationality falls away and I hear myself speaking.

“I’ve thought about it,” I admit, while her teeth tug against my ear. “Dreamed about it. Rubbed a few off at the idea, too.” She laughs and I’m instantly embarrassed. “That was inappropriate. I apologize.”

“Don’t apologize, Rupert, we’re both adults.” Her fingers push into my hair. “I want you to fuck me, what are you waiting for?”

“No. I-I-can't.” My reaction is spontaneous—out of my control. I jerk away, overwhelmed with discomfort. I stand, putting real space between us. She looks up at me, the heat of the venom still coursing through her veins, but there’s something else there now. Hurt and confusion.

The door swings open, revealing Miya in the opening. He looks between us.

“I saw the vampire down the hall. Is everything okay?”

Relief washes over me at the sight of him, of someone that can take over from the nightmare unfolding in this room, and, without another word, I bolt out of the room.

Hildi

Another Immortal stands in the doorway, and I know for a fact this one isn’t going to help me with my sexual needs either. Where the hell is Marshal? At least I know Miya is celibate. I don’t know what the fuck is wrong with Rupert.

I groan. “Seriously? Two guys come to help me and one’s got a hang up and the other is celibate.”

“She bit you?” he asks, calmly walking into the room. I nod, fisting the blankets in my fingers. I want to jump him, too. Why did these men have to be so gods-damned appealing? “I assume you’re craving sex?”

“Yes.” I look over his shoulder at the door, trying to control my breathing. “I think I scared Rupert.”

He smiles. “Probably. Sex is complicated for him.” Carefully, he reaches for the wound and assesses it. “It should heal by morning.”

My skin itches at his touch. I shift closer. “Miya, I need something.”

His eyes meet mine and there’s a flicker in the stoic darkness.

“I know you’re in pain, Hildi. The vampire toxins are strong.”

I’ve never felt something like this before, like I’m tip-toeing on the edge of absolute, earth-shattering pleasure. My breathing is shallow, my pussy aches. I lean close to Miya and inhale.

“You smell good.”

He swallows. “Thank you, I think maybe we can alleviate some of your distress with some simple meditation.”

I shoot him a glare. “I’m not going to fucking meditate, Miya.”
