Apollo (Cerberus MC) - Page 61

“I have to shower,” I mumble, more to myself than him.

I close the bathroom door, first taking care of personal business before turning the shower on. I pile my hair on top of my head, knowing a messy bun isn’t the best first impression, but knowing I won’t have time for anything else. I load my toothbrush with paste before stepping under the warm spray, letting it ease some of the tension on my muscles as I brush my teeth. There’s just something so satisfying about brushing and showering at the same time.

Holding my toothbrush in my mouth, I lather up my hands with bodywash and give myself a quick scrub. When I start rinsing, I feel eyes on me. I want to look sexy, while he watches, but I wouldn’t have a clue on how to do that. I don’t have the courage to ask even my sister something like that, but when I turn off the water and open the glass shower door, it seems like he doesn’t need a show to be aroused.

Nate is standing inside the bathroom with a towel drooping from his fingertips. We trade. I hand him the toothbrush, and he offers the towel. I turn away from him to dry my skin. He’s like a temptation I feel I shouldn’t have. I don’t exactly feel shame, but all of this is so new to me, I don’t really know how to act. He isn’t speaking, but when he does that’s when things are easier for me. I can answer questions easily, but bringing up things is difficult.

I tug the towel behind my back, rubbing it back and forth when I feel the warmth of his body. His lips find the sensitive skin on the back of my neck.

“I’ve got to get dressed,” I tell him as I lean my head further over, giving him more access.

“I know.” He punctuates his agreement by pressing his erection to my back.

“I guess you’re going to have a full day of masturbation, huh?” I can only say this because I’m facing away from him. I yearn for the day when I can fully speak my mind without feeling a little shy about it.

“Not a chance. I’m saving it all up for you.”

His promise skates over my skin like a caress. I literally doubled—well, more than doubled considering the things we did last night—my sexual experience, and yet my body still craves more from him.

I didn’t realize there were so many things two bodies could do together, but I won’t think about how he snuggled up at my back, lifted my leg and entered me from behind. I can’t think of things like that and still make it across the street in time to meet Ivy.

“Okay,” I say, finally gathering enough strength to step away from him. “I’ll see you after work.”

I walk out of the bathroom, grab my phone from the bedside table, and head for the door.

“I’ll have to kill every man who sees you if you walk out of here like that.”

I freeze in my tracks, look down at my completely naked body, and spin back around to face him. A bright smile lights up his eyes.

“I’ve got to get dressed!”

“Only if you leave the room.” His penis jerks, the thickness making it clear which option is important to it.

“Would you stop,” I scold, but I’m smiling as I head back into the bathroom to grab my clothes.

He watches me as I dress, and I do my best not to focus on that attention, but it’s impossible.

“I never thought I’d like the sight of white cotton panties.”

“Don’t make fun of my clothes.”

“Just looking at you, I’d think you’re so prim and proper. So untouched and pure, but then I know what you sound like when you come, those little whimpers you make when I pull out before you’re ready to let me go. I could get you off with my tongue in thirty seconds. Twenty-five if I can use my fingers.”

He wiggles the tantalizing digits of both hands in front of him.

“Nate!” I hiss. “Would you stop?”

I snap my bra closed and turn around to face him.

“Jesus, you’re a walking heart attack, baby. I’m going to miss you while you’re gone.”

My eyes soften. “I’m going to miss you, too.”

I finish getting dressed and walk into his waiting arms. He presses a sweet kiss to my forehead before taking a step back.

“Be safe. Call me if you need anything.”

“I will.”

“And get me the first and last names of anyone who looks at you twice.”

I’m laughing when I open the bedroom door, but his hand grabs mine before I can leave.

“Give me a second.”

He dives into his closet, coming out a few seconds later with a pair of sweats on.

“I’ll walk you out.”

Ivy waves at me from across the street as she walks toward her car. I step off the front porch, an apology on my lips when I freeze, turn back, and run right into Nate’s arms.
