Don't Lie (Don't 2) - Page 6

“Hi.”

I laughed. “Hi, to you.” I ran my fingers through his hair, feeling complete contentment. My body was relaxed and light under him.

“So what took you so long?” he asked. “I was expecting you a long time ago. Grayson tried to wait up.”

I wasn’t sure what time it was now, but I guessed maybe after three. “Traffic, trailer problems, you know. Normal road trip delays. I’m sorry it’s so late.”

He leaned up on his elbow, his eyebrows arched.

“I was going to send out the highway patrol.”

God, I hadn’t seen enough of this body. That was the only downfall to being fucked from behind. I missed the sexy view. My fingertips traced over the lines on his chest.

“I was fine. I had a phone on me.” I cleared my throat. “Unlike some people.”

He winced. “Yeah, I lost my phone tonight.”

“It’s lost?”

His tongue flicked at my other tit, making it perk.

“Yeah. I think it’s next door at the Dunes.”

I nodded, not caring about his phone anymore. My body was back where it belonged—with him.

I had fallen so head over heels in love with this man that I had started an entirely new life fifteen hundred miles away from home. Nothing felt more perfect than this.

He held up the plug and I blushed. “This isn’t the only present I have for you.”

“There’s more?”

“Yeah, hold on.” He hopped off the bed and I admired the cut muscles flexing on his ass.

He opened the small closet and revealed a brown shopping.

“For you, darlin’.” He handed me the bag.

I pulled out white tissue paper and retrieved a long rectangular box. I gave Cole a quizzical look. He was having fun watching me with the gift. I slid the lid to the side.

“Boots.” I pulled the pair of chocolate brown boots from the box.

“Like ‘em?” he asked.

“They’re beautiful. These are my first official cowgirl boots.” I loved the intricate embroidery on the side.

“Yep. Why don’t you try them on?”

I looked at our naked bodies. “Like this?”

“Oh yeah, you are going to be the hottest cowgirl I’ve ever seen.” He kissed my neck and I giggled as he held the boots up to my feet.

He slid one boot on my pointed foot and kissed the top of my calf, before performing the same ritual with the second foot.

“Fucking sexy as hell.” He grinned.

“You think so?” I held one leg toward the ceiling and heard his deep intake of air.

He bounced on the bed, rolling on his back.
