Sounds Like Obsession (Sounds Like 1)

I hopped on a step stool to stuff a cashmere sweater on the top shelf.
“Ok, now I’m finally done with all my clothes. I think we have used every square inch of this closet. Maybe this townhouse isn’t big enough for us,” I teased.
“We need more space?”
I looked down at him. I had finally found a way to scare him.
“No. I donated a lot over the last few weeks. I really thinned out my wardrobe. I can do another round if you think I need to.”
“So what you’re saying is that you need less clothes?” He waggled his eyebrows. “I can help with that Sydney Miller.”
“No. No. No,” I protested, squirming but cornered on my small platform.
I squealed when AJ’s hands wrapped on my waist and plucked me off the stool. My legs folded around him as he carried me out of the closet.
He threw me on the bed and pounced with a growl. “Do you know how much I fucking love that we’re doing this?”
I bit my lip, staring into the dark pools of his eyes. “Tell me,” I taunted.
His hand wrapped around my thigh. “I’d rather show you.”
I smiled. “Like the first night we broke in here? Drunk and out of our minds.”
He laughed. “Do you know how many times I think about that night? You on your knees,” he groaned. “Those big blue eyes looking up at me.”
My breath hitched in the back of my throat. I thought about that night all the time too.
“It would have been a crime to let someone else move in here, especially after what we did in the sunroom.”
I reached between us, sliding my hand along his zipper and feeling just how hard he was. “Maybe we should re-enact that,” I teased. I rubbed his cock through the jeans, aching for him to be inside me. To fill me with a powerful force. “Let’s pretend it’s the first night,” I whispered.
Even though we didn’t have sex that first night, it had twisted our sexual energy together like some kind of erotic binding. Neither of us could have predicted the way our bodies singed and quenched each other at the same time.
AJ jumped up from the bed before I could protest. He pulled me toward him and then tossed me over his shoulder. I giggled.
“What are you doing?”
He slapped my ass as he jogged down the stairs, balancing me with a strong grip. “Taking you to the sunroom. Reenactment christening of the new place sounds like the way we should start tonight. Maybe how we should start every night.”
“Do you always return to the scene of the crime?” I almost tried to kick myself free, but with the stairs and the railing, I was reminded to stay still or else we would crash and fall. “And champagne. Don’t forget I bought champagne to celebrate.”
He detoured through the kitchen, knocking my feet into the side of the freezer when he spun to collect the champagne.
“Ouch.”
“Sorry, babe.” He reached for the bottle.
“And glasses. I think there are some up there.”
He chuckled. “I don’t need one. I think I’ll be drinking my share off you.”
“Oh shit,” I whispered as he took confident strides to the open sunroom. “You’re serious about this.”
“I’m so fucking hungry for you right now. It’s serious, Syd.” He turned off the lights as he carried me to the adjoining room. It was almost like it was the night he jimmied the lock and snuck us inside the empty house.
Everything was upside down, but the zing bouncing around my body was unmistakable. I wanted him. My core was already twitching. My breath erratic. My nipples tingling with anticipation. That was the thing about AJ. His promises turned me on. His kisses made me melt in his hands. His body made me commit every sin in the book. I was his. Trapped under a spell I wasn’t interested in escaping.
He dragged his lips across mine. “I did want you that night. You know that, right?”
