“I don’t want you to be,” she tells me, smiling against me.

I push into her, feeling her stretch to accommodate me.

She whimpers beneath me as I pull back and push back in. I bottom out in her pussy, finding home between her legs. She moans and her pussy welcomes me home, like this is where I was always meant to be.

I’m in heaven between these sheets.

I thrust into her faster, losing myself in this woman and we’re both so close and fall over the edge together.

LIAM SLIDES HIS CLOTHES BACK into place, his dark blue eyes lingering on me as he does. He watches me like if he looks away for a moment I’ll be gone.

“I’m not going anywhere.” I tell him, sliding the mini skirt back up my legs.

He buttons his jeans before stalking over to me. “God, I hope not.” He lifts a hand to caress one side of my face. The action is loving and claiming.

He watches me as I finish redressing myself and smooth my hair out in the mirror.

“Who’s the soldier that followed you?” he asks, gesturing toward the window.

“Andrew.” Who is probably sitting in his car sweating. “He won’t call Gian, not again.”

Liam quirks an eyebrow, “You sure, Princess?”

“I trust him.” I do. Andrew watched me spiral, he paid attention to me when no one else did. He knows better than to put me through that hell again now that I’ve pulled myself above the water.

Liam shrugs, he’s not going to argue Andrew’s loyalty with me. He stuffs his hands in his pockets and looks at me with a mix of concern and confusion. The air in the room has changed. Gone is the sexy smirk and wandering hands, in their place is confusion and concern.

“Gemma…” He trails off.

“I know,” I interrupt him. “We need to talk.”

He pulls the chair out from the desk in the corner of the room, sitting down and resting his elbows on his knees. He looks over to me. “We do. Are your brothers going to charge in here again?” he asks, a light smile lingering on his lips. He’s only half joking, I think. He’s not wrong to be concerned.

“No.” I give him a small smile. “I don’t think so, anyway.”

He chuckles, a deep and throaty sound. “Okay.” He peers up at me. “Let’s talk.”

I forgot how good looking Liam is. My memories didn’t do him justice. His thick thighs fill out his jeans and I can make out his abs beneath the white t-shirt. His hair is messy from sex and he still has a thick beard covering his jaw, my thighs clench remembering the feeling of it between my legs.

He gives me a soft smile. “I missed you,” he says, breaking the silence and my staring. “I’m glad you texted me.”

“I missed you too.” I sit on the edge of the bed, giving myself some space. I know if he gets his hands on me again I won’t be able to think.

“I want this, Gemma,” he looks at me with pleading eyes. “And we can figure out all the details, we can make this work. I know that it’s messy, and there's a whole lot of petty drama between our families, but I don’t give a fuck.”

I stifle a laugh. “I don’t either.”

His eyes brighten at my words. “So, we’re doing this then?”

I inhale a deep breath. “Last week, I almost died.”

His demeanor changes, concern wracking his features. He jumps from the chair. “What happened?”

I raise a hand, a feeble attempt to calm him down. “I’m fine, obviously. I was at a coffee shop and then when I was leaving, my friend stepped out on the street and a car hit her.” I choke my tears back down, not wanting to cry telling him this. “I was trying to grab her, I had my hand out. I could practically feel the car ram past her.”

The bed dips as he sits down next to me, wrapping an arm around me. “I’m sorry.”

I swallow, holding back any more emotion than what is already showing. “It’s okay. It was just… it was really close, ya know? That could have been me.”
