“Stay inside,” Lance demanded, which excited her in the oddest way. “I checked the perimeter of the house about an hour ago. All the doors and windows are secure. The alarm is back on.”

“Yes, Sir.”

She headed into the kitchen and found Harry reading the paper. “You’re up early. Where’s Michael?”

“In the shower. Coffee is made. Are your guys awake?”

Your guys. She liked the sound of that. “Yes, but I want to bring them their coffee in bed.”

“Good girl. Keep your men happy.” Harry pointed to one of the upper cabinets. “There’s a tray in there you can use. Mugs are to the left of the sink. I’m surprised they trust you with coffee. Didn’t you spill tea on them the day you met?”

She grinned, recalling the incident. “Things change.”

“Like your feelings for them?”

“Yes. What about you and Michael? Will you be tying the knot soon?”

“I love him, but I’m just a mechanic from Elko. He’s a billionaire.” Harry put down the paper. “What do I have to offer him?”

“Everything, you nut.” Michael walked into the kitchen. “You changed my life. I can’t imagine a single day without you in it. I told you that you don’t have to work on cars anymore.”

“Was that a proposal? I’m sorry, mister.” Harry grinned. “I guess I missed that.”

“Michael, do you want to marry him?” she asked, uncaring how bold that might be. Her heart was still soaring. She’d found love. She wanted the whole world to experience what she was feeling.

“Of course, I do.”

She put her hand on his shoulder. “Then ask him the right way. Get on your knee.”

“You’re right, Danielle.” Michael kissed her on the cheek and then stepped in front of Harry.

“You’re really going to do this?” Harry’s eyes were wide and the smile on his face revealed how happy he was.

“Yes.” Michael got down on one knee. He grabbed Harry’s hand. “Will you make me the happiest man in the world, Harry? Will you marry me?”

“I will. Yes. Of course.” They kissed.

Danielle left the newly engaged couple, carrying the tray of coffee back to her men.

Peering through binoculars, Miguel crouched in the bushes, staring at the window he’d seen Danielle pass by moments ago.

Late last night, he’d followed the owner of the diner here after overhearing her talk to the cook about his stepdaughter. She was staying in the home of two queers and was being watched by two other men.

Several times since midnight, he’d seen one of the bodyguards the woman had mentioned were protecting Danielle walking around the entire massive home. Miguel had remained far enough away and concealed that the bodyguard hadn’t detected him during his surveys of the area.

Counting the one who came outside from time to time, there were four men surrounding Danielle.

I always knew she would be a fucking slut.

Four to one wasn’t ideal, but he needed the book.

An idea occurred to him how he could turn the odds in his favor.
