“Me, too, but we don’t want to scare her off.” Adam was right about that.
Even after the incredible night they had with her, Bane believed she needed a little more time. “Just look at all she’s been through, but I still want to talk to her about that phone call. That was the plan, remember?”
Adam nodded. “Maybe she will open up to us now. There’s no doubt about her trusting us.”
“Let’s try at breakfast, if it feels right. If not, we still have a long ride in the truck to bring up the subject.”

Emma finished brushing her teeth.
She looked in the mirror at her reflection and smiled. “I am beautiful, but this face still needs some makeup.”
She laughed, pulling out her base. Applying her makeup as the smell of fresh coffee filled the space, she couldn’t remember a time she’d been so happy. The reason? Bane and Adam were the reason, of course.
She’d gotten a little taste of their Dom sides and she wanted a second and third helping. She could tell that they knew so much more about BDSM. It would be amazing to be their student in the lifestyle.
I wish they could be in my life forever.
What are you thinking, Em? Don’t forget the voices in your head.
She closed her eyes, feeling the weight of the past year on her shoulders. Remembering how it had all started, she thought about her mother and Lily’s funeral. That was when she’d begun hearing her two dead sister’s voices at night.
But whenever I’m with Bane and Adam, I don’t hear them. It’s got to be just stress.
She opened her eyes and looked back at her reflection. “I won’t go crazy like Samantha and Lily.”
She smiled and poured three cups of coffee, one for her and the other two for Bane and Adam, the men who kept the voices away.

Emma watched Adam load up his plate at the breakfast buffet for the third time. “He’s got quite the appetite, doesn’t he?”
Bane held her hand. “Always has.”
“Adam won the pie-eating contest back in high school, didn’t he?”
“I’m surprised you remember that, Em. You were only a freshman. Yes, Adam did win.” The love for his brother was evident on Bane’s face. “All us football players had to eat as many pies as we could to raise money for the team. Actually, if I’m honest, I have about as big an appetite as Adam. I came in a close second.”
She laughed. “I knew it. Why don’t you go fill your plate again? I can see you want to.”
Adam came back with his plate stacked high with pancakes. “I brought some for you, Em.” He took a fork and placed half of them on her plate.
“Pancake, Sir. Although I wouldn’t mind being naughty again with you.”
They laughed.
“We’d love to train you, Em,” Bane said.
Adam nodded. “You took to the life like a fish to water last night. You’re a natural.”
“I love to swim.”
They laughed again, and she joined in.
“Seriously, Adam. I couldn’t eat another bite.”
Bane pulled her plate in front of him. “Okay, sweetheart. I’ll take care of these for you.”
