Amber had learned that the O’Learys had been like grandparents to her guys, the Knight brothers, and the Colemans—Sawyer, Reed, and their sister Erica—after all their parents had died in the plane crash together.

The diner was clearing out fast.

“We better hurry before all the good seats are taken,” Patrick said.

He and Sam bolted out the door, followed by Sawyer and Reed.

“You guys were joking when you said Patrick actually believes in dragons, weren’t you?” They’d mentioned it one day when they were telling her about the town. The man seemed quite reasonable and in his right mind to her.

Bryant smiled. “Just ask him yourself some day, but be ready to lose at least a couple of hours for his tirade on the subject.”

Cody asked, “You’ve seen the statues around the park, baby?”

She nodded.

“Who do you think paid for them?”

“Patrick?”

“Yes. He’s the richest man in town and maybe the most brilliant, too. So what if he believes in dragons? He might be right.”

“Okay, we better head over to the courthouse now,” Emmett said. “We don’t want to miss all the fun.”

* * * *

Emmett sat in the Swanson County Courthouse next to Amber, the woman he and his brothers would spend the rest of their lives with. He looked on the other side of the mahogany half wall dividing the courtroom in two. Eric and Scott stood next to Cameron Strange, TBK’s corporate attorney. Behind them, in the gallery but just on the other side of the wall, was Cam’s brother, Dylan, former CIA operative and head of security for Eric and Scott’s tech company.

The normally rowdy citizens of Destiny were quiet, making it easy to hear across the courtroom.

“Look over there.” Scott pointed at Emmett, Amber, and his brothers. “The playboys of Destiny have been tamed.”

Eric frowned and hit his brother in the arm. “What the fuck do you mean by that? We’re the reigning playboys. Always have been. Not the Stones.”

Emmett smiled and waved at his good friends. Let them take the helm. They were excellent training Doms. Phase Four was now their domain. He wanted only one sub at his side, the love of his life, Amber.

“Shit.” Eric waved back. He said something to Scott and Cam, but Emmett couldn’t make it out.

Then Eric and Scott began checking out all the single women in the place. The billionaire brothers were sticking to their lusty routine. Once this was over, they’d most likely head straight to Phase Four for some fun.

Emmett had promised to take Amber to the club one day, but he and his brothers wanted to keep their play to the cabin for now. Once she was ready to be put on display, they’d gladly take her, proud to show off the love of their lives.

He grabbed Amber’s hand. Brya

nt was sitting on the other side of her with his arm around her shoulders. Cody was just on the other side of Bryant, keeping his eyes on her alone, ignoring everyone else in the courtroom.

Life had changed for the better since he’d found Amber. No longer a “half-empty” kind of guy, he saw the world in a whole new light, and it all was because of her.

Suddenly, the back double doors flew open. All eyes turned to the new arrival. The woman Eric and Scott were suing for ten million dollars.

Megan Lunceford was an attractive young woman. He would guess her to be twenty-five or so. She crashed into Mitchell Wolfe, Jason’s hellion brother, and a folder he was holding that held a ton of papers went flying in the aisle, spilling its contents in every direction.

“I’m so sorry,” the woman said.

Scott’s single word shocked him. “Wow.”

Emmett turned and looked at him and Eric. What he saw on their faces shocked him. They were more than a little intrigued. They were captivated.

Boys, you better watch out. The woman you’re suing may very well turn your life upside down and sideways.
