“Erica is ours.”
“Yes, she is,” his brother and best friend answered. “Now and forever.”
Chapter Twenty-One
Dylan listened intently at the door of the warehouse in Odessa, Texas.
He was here with the Texans, who had finally tracked down TBK’s hacker, who was inside the building.
It felt good to be running an operation with his old CIA buds again. Really good.
Dylan was always careful during this kind of mission, but now that he was a married man with a wife he adored, he wanted to be especially careful.
Matt and Sean believed the hacker was working for someone else, and so did he. The Russians? Even Kip Lunceford? A corporate competitor of TBK? None of them were sure.
Though only one car, a white 2004 Ford Taurus, was parked outside the warehouse, the hacker might not be alone.
Sean went around back to the only other exit out of the building.
They waited thirty seconds and got Sean’s signal that he was in position.
They were about to take out the mastermind who had been eluding them for months. Dylan kicked in the door and rushed in.
Sean came in the back, his gun in his hand and his eyes wide.
The space was filled with the latest and greatest computer equipment, just like the other buildings they had discovered when looking for Erica after her abduction. The difference today was the hacker was here.
“I never expected you to be a woman,” Matt said.
“Might be sexist, but me either,” Sean added.
The girl’s hands were in the air. “I never expected you to find me.”
