Unexpected (The Protectors 10) - Page 72

We didn’t need to.

I hurried down the stairs and got dressed. When I opened the door, I nearly tripped over Happy. The big dog wagged her tail when she saw me, but then she tried to dart past me into the house. I wanted to laugh, because she’d clearly formed some kind of weird attachment to Nash.

“Not tonight, girl. He’s got his hands full,” I said. “Come on,” I called as I stepped off the porch and began walking toward the main house. She hesitated, but then finally followed. I couldn’t say I really blamed her for wanting to be close to the object of her obsession, since that was exactly where I wanted to be too.

Chapter 22

Everett

“It’s going to be the gymnast.”

“Nope, the football player,” Gage countered.

“Are you kidding me?” Nash groused. “That guy totally fucked up the waltz!”

I smiled and shook my head as the two men continued to argue with one another. We were on the couch in the guest house – yes, the couch… the one I’d gotten fucked up against four nights earlier – watching television. Despite there being a loveseat and chair in the living room, we’d all ended up squeezed together on the too-small couch.

A fact I definitely wasn’t complaining about.

I was pressed up against the now-infamous armrest and Gage was sitting to my right. He had his hand resting on the inside of my thigh and he was lightly rubbing circles into the material of my pants. It wasn’t a sexual move, but it sure as hell was turning me on.

Nash was on Gage’s right side, but he was lying on his back with his head resting on Gage’s tree trunk of a thigh. His long legs were extended to the end of the couch and he had his head turned toward the television. Gage was resting his hand on Nash’s chest and he and Nash were absently toying with each other’s fingers as they argued. I doubted they were even aware of what they were doing.

“You willing to put your mouth where your mouth is?” Nash suggested.

“I think you mean, money where your mouth is,” Gage said.

“Nope, I meant what I said,” Nash countered. “Don’t want your money if I win, Fortier.”

I smiled at that because the comment was so very Nash. Despite the cool-as-a-cucumber persona he carried with him when he was working, Gage and I had noticed that as he’d become more comfortable with us in private, he’d allowed himself to be more open with his feelings. There was also a bit of snark and sarcasm there too. It made Nash so very… human. I’d seen his gentleness early on when he’d supported me through the whole Reese-getting-hurt ordeal, but now he was letting us see the things that I knew made him feel vulnerable.

And he laughed.

I’d started to wonder if he even knew how.

But he did, and it was one of the most beautiful things I’d ever heard.

“What do I get if I win?” Gage asked. “And remember, I had your mouth last night.”

I shivered at the memory the comment evoked. Gage and I had woken up in the middle of the night to Nash sucking us both off at the same time. No, he hadn’t managed to get much of both of us in his mouth at the same time, but he’d sure as hell tried. Just having him close his hand around both my and Gage’s dicks at the same time had been heaven. Add in his talented tongue and I’d been a goner pretty quickly.

But that had only meant I’d gotten to watch the battle of wills that had taken place afterward with Gage doing his best to prolong the pleasure and not come and Nash rising to the challenge of getting Gage to lose his cool.

Of course, Nash had won that one. Though I doubted Gage considered himself the loser, considering the orgasm he’d gotten out of the deal.

“What do you want?” Nash asked suggestively.

Gage leaned over so he could brush his mouth over Nash’s. “You know what I want, baby.”

My body responded to the sight of them kissing.

“Then your guy better win,” Nash said.

“Mmmm-hmmm,” Gage murmured, before he once again sealed his mouth over Nash’s. Gage’s fingers drifted up my leg and moved over my groin. I sucked in a breath as he began fondling me through my pants.

Despite my promise to myself that I’d tell the guys the morning after our first night together that we couldn’t keep doing this, I’d been powerless to put a stop to it. Not because either man had pressured me, but because my body and, more importantly, my heart wanted it. The guilt of what I was doing was eating away at me, but I’d become like an addict. Nash and Gage had done something to me that I could no longer control. They didn’t even have to touch me to have that craving for them clawing at my insides like a caged animal.
