The Brink (Unbroken Raine Falling 3)

“Please,” she gasped, arching her hips from the mattress again, longing to rush over the edge of release.
“Are you ready to come for us?” Hammer taunted.
“Yes. Oh, god, yes.”
Liam’s mouth never left her clit as he raised his gaze and drilled her with a dark stare, his hooded lids heavy with lust. Virile and seductive, he worked to bring her pleasure. The sight unraveled her self-control.
Then Hammer plucked at her nipple, gently twisting as he settled his mouth close to her ear. “When you returned to Shadows and threw your little fit, did you ever think there might be another side of the story? Or did you simply believe everything Gwyneth told you?”
Raine moaned, her pending orgasm simmering just below a boil. Hammer wanted to talk about this now?
“I’m sorry,” she blurted.
“I didn’t ask if you were sorry; I asked if you believed her.”
“Kind of…” Raine squeaked as Liam continued that unrelenting quest with his tongue. “The horrible things she said made sense at the time.”
Liam lifted his mouth from her, giving his lips a slow lick that made her belly tighten and dip. “So, love…”
No! Don’t stop. Can’t we talk later? She sent him a pleading stare, which he ignored.
“You just assumed I’d fucked Gwyneth?” he asked. “I’m curious… Am I the only one you don’t trust or does that extend to Hammer as well? Maybe you lack faith in love altogether?”
That wasn’t true…not really. Well, maybe a little. She sighed. She’d never been good with trust, not when almost everyone had let her down.
“What else was I supposed to think? The evidence that you’d scened with her was all over the condo. And Gwyneth’s red fuck-me ensemble didn’t exactly make me feel better. Coupled with the fact that you walked right past me in Beck’s lobby after I called your name… I didn’t know what else to think.”
“I didn’t hear or see you.” Liam frowned. “When have I ever ignored you, Raine?”
In the car earlier today. But pointing that out wouldn’t be wise. Or kind. He’d had extenuating circumstances. And normally, he made her feel like the center of his world.
Now, Raine regretted accusing him of screwing the shrew before she’d asked a single question. Knowing Liam had bought her this amazing house in the hopes she’d share it with them, she felt even more contrite.
“Almost never.” Guilt further cooled her desire. “I’m working on learning to trust both of you. But I have to fight myself everyday to believe I’m worthy and that love won’t hurt. I’ve never experienced the kind that wasn’t painful.”
“I see.” Liam resumed strumming her clit with his fingers as he pinned her with a hard stare. Raine worried they had more questions poised on the tips of their tongues.
“Let me guess.” Hammer leaned in close, his lips drawn in a tight line. “It was easier and more comfortable to fall back into old behavior than to implement anything we taught you at the lodge.”
She bit back a little huff. “I wasn’t rational. I didn’t exactly make a conscious effort to lose my temper.”
“You didn’t think at all. You closed yourself off to us,” Hammer chided.
“And you won’t be doing that again,” Liam warned. “You’re not allowed to hide yourself or your feelings. Hammer and I will always strip your walls down and lay you open, raw and naked, like you are now. Do you understand?”
Raine knew they meant every word.
“Yes, Sirs,” she murmured, feeling duly scolded.
Bending back to her pussy, he swiped his tongue over her flesh. Raine jolted with renewed sensation and moaned. In an instant, he ramped her back up until she needed so badly for them to cover, devour, and fill her.
Instead, Liam paused again. “By the way, if you want this climax, you’ll have to swear you’ll never shut us out again.”
What? They commanded her, ruled her desires, and controlled her body. Now they wanted her to make a promise she likely couldn’t keep? Didn’t they know she’d say or do almost anything right now for the shimmering orgasm just out of reach?
Raine didn’t believe that if she uttered a few easy words, they’d shower her with bliss. No way. They’d want more. Way more. And when Liam’s fingers got busy again, she really couldn’t find the patience to figure out what. Instead, she gave them a keening little cry.
“Is that a yes or a no?” Liam asked with a quick slap to her cunt.
A deep burn seared her folds. Raine hissed as the fire spread outward in a slow, stinging slide.
“Convince us you intend to communicate honestly.” Hammer arched a dark brow.
Liam swooped in low, giving her a long, torturous lick before backing away again. “Or will Hammer and I take turns edging you for the next month?”
God, that sounded awful. She groaned in desperation. “Yes. I’ll communicate.”
