It appealed to something deeper in him, richer, and filled him with a profound contentment he’d never known before. It only compared to being with Ashwood. Living a peaceful existence in the countryside with his mate was all he truly desired.
“Are you ready?” Ashwood asked with a kiss to his temple.
“To spend uninterrupted time with my beloved?” His cheeks curved into a smile. “Always.”
Ashwood’s eyes softened as he reached for his hand.
As they left for the train station, Bellamy looked back at their cottage—their home—one last time. He sighed, feeling immensely fortunate that the moon had cast a spell on him all those years ago.
