Me into Poison Ivy, and her into Lara Croft.

This year, we both decided to play into our natural looks when it came to our costumes.

I wiggle the sheer green tights up my hips, before slipping into the leotard corset type garment I spent hours gluing ivy to. I even added green sequins to it so when the lights hit it, it shimmers. Finally, I grab my pair of matching green platform heels and put them on.

“How do I look?” I ask turning to Kira.

She tugs down her crop top and appraises me. “You look like a stripper.”

“That’s what I was going for.”

“Then you nailed it.”

“You look hot,” I tell her.

She grins. “I wouldn’t tell Rush what I was wearing. Homeboy better cum in his pants when he sees me,” she says, turning to my floor length mirror and playing with the loose strands of hair framing her face.

I have no doubt he will. Her top is fitted tightly over her chest and amplifies her tiny waist. Her black shorts hug her ass, add in the straps on her thighs with the guns … yeah, Rush is going to lose his mind. She looks like the gaming character brought to life.

“You look hot too you know,” she tells me, pouting her lips at her reflection. “Sexy Poison Ivy is a look I dig on you.”

“Too bad it’s not every day appropriate,” I quip.

“It’s probably good for Hollis’s heart, though,” she cackles. “He’s going to choke on his tongue. I still can’t believe you guys made it official. I just wanted you to get laid, not go and get a fucking boyfriend.”

“What about you and Rush?” I counter. “You guys are together all the time.”

“Yeah, for sex.” She shrugs. “His cock is exclusively mine, and my pussy is exclusively his—that’s as far as it goes now. My personal thoughts are mine to keep. I don’t need to know where he grew up, how many siblings he has, or even his favorite color. As long as his dick can make me orgasm, I’m all about it.”

I shake my head. Those two are so clueless it’s not even funny.

“I’m going to text Hollis to see if they’re ready,” I tell her, and she waves me away.

Our plan is to meet in their hotel lobby and go from there.

Me: Are you guys ready?

Hollis: Yeah—you seriously call dressing up like this fun?

Me: Yeah. Stop being a wuss or no puss for you.

Hollis:

Me: ;)

“They’re ready,” I announce.

“Just let me put my shoes on.” She sits on the edge of my bed to lace her hiking boots.

My place is close to the hotel, so we walk, especially since parking is a nightmare.

We step into the lobby and I feel thankful for the cool air. It might be the end of October, but the weather has stayed unseasonably warm. There have been many Halloween nights when it has snowed, but tonight won’t be one of them.

Kira and I find an empty couch in the hotel lobby to sit on and I text Hollis to let him know we’re here.

A few of the guys eye us in the lobby, but nobody approaches.

I’m with Hollis, so I don’t care, but if I was single it would frustrate me to no end. Why is it hard for guys to make the first move?
