Desired (Club Sin 3)

A wrinkle marred her forehead. “Is that what this is to you, a job?”
The anger in her voice was clear-cut. He rolled off her and gathered her to his side. In vanilla terms, what he said would be insulting. In his world, though, it was true. As her Dom, he’d done right by her. He’d left her happy and satisfied, as well as cleared her pain away for a little while: a job well done.
Leaning his head up off the pillow, he brushed his nose against hers. “Ella, if someone paid me to spend my days fucking you, I wouldn’t complain.”
The hardness in her gaze softened, as did her voice. “Has anyone ever told you that you have odd word choices?”
He dropped his head to the pillow, running his hand over her damp, soft back. “Odd in what way?”
She regarded him with a nibble of her lip. “Just weird. Like you said you did a good job, as if you have a duty to me or something.”
Ah, she was smart.
He liked that.
He arched a brow. “Do my word choices bother you?”
“No.” She slowly shook her head, watching him closely with guarded, glassy eyes. “I’m just trying to get a read on you.”
He laughed, slapping her ass with a light tap, which had her giving a lovely squirm. He didn’t mind that she saw deeply into him to understand there was more going on there. In fact, he thought it was attractive that she was clever. But explaining his sexual interests and that he played at Club Sin wasn’t anything he wanted to get into now. He needed to understand more about Ella first, besides that they connected on a sexual level. “Why don’t you save the interrogation for tomorrow over breakfast?”
She gave him quite the sweet look with raised brows. “Isn’t this the time I’m supposed to get up and go to my own bed, since this is not a dating type of arrangement? Isn’t that how one-night stands usually go?”
He brushed her hair off her face and tucked it behind her ear, quite taken with her. “This is the time that you relax in my arms and go to sleep. We’re going to be friends, Ella, so you’re going to have to learn to deal with my wanting to be around you.”
With a loud snort, she pushed up against his chest and gave him a stern look. “Are you always this bossy?”
He couldn’t fight his smile. She looked cute annoyed. “Ella, I just fucked you, so I can’t see why sleeping in my bed and going for breakfast is such a problem. Friends don’t just fuck, they spend time together.” He grabbed her braided hair and tugged, bringing her mouth closer to him. “Besides, we already talked about my wanting to get to know you better and agreed to that, didn’t we?”
“Ever the negotiator,” she said with a dry voice.
He barked a laugh; if only she knew. “Something like that.”
Chapter Six
The scent of coffee drifted through Ella’s nostrils and opened her eyes. She stared out at the French doors, and the sun pooled in through the windows, casting light against the hardwood floors. A squeak of the floor had her rolling onto her back, and she saw Kyler approaching her with a mug in his hand. His wet hair suggested he’d showered.
Dressed in a light blue T-shirt and dark jeans, he was mouthwateringly gorgeous. She gulped, feeling such an odd connection to him. Her entire body awakened in his presence. She didn’t even know him, but there was a level of comfort with Kyler that was completely unexpected.
“How long have you been up?” she asked.
He dropped down onto the mattress next to her, staring at her with those gorgeous eyes. “Long enough to make you horrible hotel coffee.” Smiling, he offered her the mug. “I saw at dinner last night that you took one sugar, yes?”
She sat up against the fluffy pillows behind her and pulled up the blankets, covering her chest. Then she accepted the cup, inhaling the rich aroma. The coffee smelled strong, but she liked her coffee powerful.
As she moved against the pillows, getting more comfortable, her body ached, especially between her thighs. It hurt in that good way. Hell, she hadn’t ached from a night of hot sex in a very long time. Actually, she couldn’t remember a time when she’d ever been pleasantly sore from sex.
She liked it.
She wanted more.
Over the rim of her coffee cup, she stared at Kyler’s sexy smile, which looked way more dangerous in the daylight. She considered what he’d said, and she couldn’t believe he’d been watching her that intently to notice what she’d taken in her coffee. Good grief, was this man not only smoking hot, but sweet, too?
If Kyler didn’t show a flaw soon, she might resort to pinching herself to wake up from this incredible dream. To add moisture to her increasingly dry throat, she sipped her coffee and hummed in happiness.
His eyebrow arched, a move that suddenly seemed attached to her hormones. “Not too bad?”
“It’s strong, but I like it that way.”
