Kissing Kendall

Wanting to touch her everywhere at once, he forced himself away from her nipples. His tongue glided downward, stopping an inch higher than the start of her trim bush. She shivered under his hands when he kissed her there, his hands skimming across her hips, pulling her lower body closer to his needy mouth.
Bringing his thumbs to her wet lips, he spread them wide, exposing her clit. He flicked it with his tongue, tasting her, memorizing the moment. Using his last vestige of patience, he savored her essence, not wanting this to end but knowing he wouldn't make it much longer before he had to bury himself within her welcoming pussy once more.
As if she understood his quandary, Audrey pushed his head away and pulled him upward until they were face to face. "Fuck me now, Carter. I need to feel you inside me."
She claimed his mouth, her tongue wanting entrance and her body demanding so much more.
He picked her up, raising her high enough to straddle him. Flipping around so it was his back against the door, he leaned against the wood. Hands gripping her hips, he moved her up and down on his standing cock. So good. She felt so good against him and around him.
Audrey braced herself on his shoulders and undulated. He couldn’t wait; he already had played on the edge for too long. Already his balls were tight, ready to spill.
The slap of their bodies meeting filled his ears and a musky scent surrounded them. Her body, so warm and smooth underneath his palms, pushed him to go faster but he wanted to draw it out a little bit longer, just a little bit longer. He could make it last. Hold her longer. Bring her closer. Make her his. But then her body stiffened and her wetness squeezed his cock as she came. Her orgasm milked his cock and he gave in.
“I was serious you know,” he said as he carried her down the hallway to her room where he laid her down on the bed and laid beside her. “You’re stuck with me now and tomorrow. I can be based anywhere and Salvation seems like a good little town.”
She chuckled, snuggling up against him, her head on his shoulder. ”You don’t mind everyone and their dog knowing exactly what’s going on in your life at any moment?”
“Well, maybe the dog is a step too far.”
“I’m serious.” She sat up, her body tense and a protective glint in her eyes. “The paparazzi have nothing on Ruby Sue. She’ll know everything about you by sunset.”
How in the hell had he ever doubted Aubrey? The sun shining in through the window made her hair glow as if she had a halo, but he knew she was no angel. She was impulsive, a pants thief, and had an ornery sense of humor—and he loved all of it. He loved her. And that is what made the plans he’d put in motion for his career even better.
“Then I might as well let her know now that I’m signed on to star in that indie movie,” he said, toying with the soft strands of her hair. “Plus, Bryon worked out a deal where I’ll play The Admiral one more time in a summer blockbuster. Spoiler alert, in that movie there will be a twist where during a battle The admiral is knocked into a parallel universe. After I die in an epic battle, a younger, different version of The Admiral returns to earth to save it and carry on the franchise for another generation of fans. Yours truly will be returning to direct the first installment featuring the new admiral.”
“Is that what you want? I thought you were trying to get away from The Admiral?”
“Turns out that I can be a real idiot about some things.” Lots of things really—especially the ones that mattered. “Sort of like how I was wrong with you.”
Aubrey’s nose wrinkled with worry and she let out a small sigh. “I should have told you.”
“I should have been willing to listen. I won’t make that mistake again. And if I do, you can always steal my pants.”
“You know,” she said, moving so she straddled him, a wicked grin on her face. “That totally gives me ideas.”
And before she could have any more, he pulled her down and k
issed her for now, for tomorrow, for the future.
Epilogue
Six Months Later…
Outlining was no joke. Aubrey had spent the past month while Carter was on the set for what would definitely be his breakout Oscar role, plotting every moment in her book. She detailed every moment in the New York to San Francisco road trip Alice Ramsay took in 1909 that put her in the history books as the first woman to drive cross country. Then, last night, she started writing and her impulsive muse took over and she had veered off her outline by about a million miles within the first six pages.
“Some things never change,” she muttered to herself with a giggle.
“I hope that counts for how you feel about me.”
Letting out an excited squeal, she jumped up from her desk in the corner of the bakery and sprinted to Carter, jumping up into his arms and wrapping her legs around his waist as she gave him a welcome home kiss. Yes, FaceTime was better than nothing, but it was still a poor substitute for the man himself. By the time she came up for air—remembering just in time before she went for his pants that Mr. Lucas and his coffee crew were at their usual table—her entire body was buzzing with anticipation.
“I take it you missed me?” he asked, lowering her to ground.
“Like you wouldn’t believe.”
“Good because you’re stuck with me for the next six months until The Admiral starts shooting.”
She sighed with melodramatic gusto and pressed the back of her hand to her forehead. “I guess I’ll have to find a way to live with it.”
