Creatively Crushed (Reckless Bastards MC 6) - Page 50

“You’re wrong,” Craig insisted, but all the fire was gone.

“I have proof. In fact, my guess is that you guys are working for Pacheco, and he asked you to keep an eye on his precious little girl. And you sent her in to the shop to check up on things, am I right?” I turned my attention to Carly. “Did these goons have you do that? Does your father know what an upstanding citizen you are? Trying to scare a single mom and her son?”

Carly slapped Lu across the face and backed up. “You asshole! I can’t believe you work for my father! You’re just like the rest. The same loser ass kissers that follow him everywhere. Fuck you, Lu! I’m so outta here!” She stalked off, giving each and every one of us a peek at her perky twenty-one-year-old ass nearly poking out of her jean shorts.

“Thanks dude,” she tossed off in a huff, “whoever you are!”

“No problem, sweetheart,” I shot back. She was a feisty little thing but that also meant within the hour Pacheco would know he was compromised. I turned to my prey. “So White Boy, what’s your end game?”

He grinned, coughing when I squeezed just a little harder. “Wait and see, asshole.”

“See, I try to be nice but you just push and push.” My voice was low and calm, no longer determined to be a nice guy. I pulled my elbow back and unleashed a powerful punch that made a sickening crack as it landed on his nose, sending his head against the wall. When I let him go, Craig slid to the ground.

His guys surged forward but they weren’t quick enough. My guys were on them in a flash.

“Whoa boy!” Savior flashed his wide-eyed psycho grin and sent a fist flying into the nearest Roadkill member. “We got us a good old-fashioned street fight!”

It was an all-out fucking fight; Reckless Bastards against Roadkill MC and it had been coming for a long time.

Craig made it to his feet when I wasn’t looking and swung at me. I ducked that shit and sent my fist right into his stomach, grabbing the back of his neck when he staggered back. I twisted his head and smashed his face into the wall. “If this was real brick you’d be dead. Just think about that, asshole.”

He grunted and held his bleeding nose, not bothering to look up at me. “You got me now, Cross, but you fuckers better enjoy these days because they will be your last.”

I laughed and spit on that piece of shit before I lifted my hand like it was a gun and pulled the imaginary trigger. “Right back atcha, motherfucker.”

I walked away and took a moment to stare at my men, happily pounding away on just a few of the assholes making our lives difficult at the moment.

“All right boys let’s get the fuck outta here!”

Each one got another punch or kick in before stepping back with wide, shit-eating grins. “Got the fightin’ part of the evenin’ out the way, now I’m ready for food and fuckin’!” Savior smacked his hands together and whooped loudly, making us all smile.

“Good night assholes.” I walked away, White Boy Craig’s angry words hitting my back and bouncing right off. Now that I knew what the deal was, I could plan our retaliation.

Jag came up beside me. “Feel better?”

“Fuck no.”

I didn’t feel good about any of this because it wasn’t the end, just the beginning. And before this shit with Roadkill and Pacheco was over, some of us would be hurt. Or dead.

“You?” I asked.

Jag looked grim. “Won’t feel better until Vivi’s back in my arms.”

“At least you have a woman waiting to come back to you.”

I didn’t mean for it to sound bitter, but I was. Each one of my men was headed home to women who loved them, and although I could get a piece of ass when needed, I was headed back to the only place that was home to me.

The Reckless Bastards clubhouse.

Alone.

Chapter Twenty

Moon

I had a date that night. With Cross. Jana claimed she was missing Beau, which I believed, but not more than her desire to play matchmaker. When she’d taken Beau and his backpack filled with games, snacks, pajamas and a clean outfit, I took advantage and texted Cross a dinner invite. Dinner was on the menu, I’d just put a casserole in the oven about five minutes ago, but Cross was the entrée as far as I was concerned. It wasn’t often—okay it was never—that I got a night like this to enjoy a man and I planned to enjoy it. Even if it was just another night of crazy sexy bliss.

It was enough.
