“Glad you liked it.”
His lips grazed her skin. “I like everything when it comes to you.”
Reese’s thoughts ran the same direction. “I’m starting to think you’re a bit of a godsend.”
A wicked glint flashed in his eyes. “That sounds much too angelic for the thoughts occupying my mind.”
Her clit tingled and her cunt clenched. The erotic sensations he so easily sparked coursed through her. She wove her fingers through his hair at the nape of his neck. “Do tell.”
He groaned. “I’d rather show you.”
“Oh,” she said on a heavy sigh. “Okay.”
With a low chuckle, he scooped her up in his arms again. He seemed to enjoy doing that. As he left the kitchen and crossed the hardwood floor to his suite, her excitement escalated.
She whispered in his ear, “I’m not having any doubts tonight, nor am I answering any doors.”
“Good to know, because I had a hell of time concentrating all day, knowing I was going to see you this evening. And knowing I wouldn’t be able to keep my hands off you.”
“No need to restrain yourself,” she teased. It surprised her how lighthearted he made her feel. And sexy. A few days ago she would have thought it impossible to muster any sort of sensuality or feminine wiles. Even the provocative lingerie she typically bought at Ginger’s hadn’t helped her to feel alluring. But Caleb certainly did the trick. With very little effort.
He carried her into the bedroom and set her on the edge of the mattress. He knelt before her and pulled off her shoes and socks. In turn she dragged his shirt over his head and dropped it to the floor. Her hands skated over his muscles and she sighed dreamily.
“God, you’re incredible to look at.”
He moved between her parted legs and kissed her. His hands slid under her sweater and caressed her skin before he gripped the hem of the garment. Breaking the kiss, he whisked the material off her and just as quickly rid her of her strapless bra. He let out a low groan.
“Damn, you make me hard in a heartbeat.”
She smiled. “Your charm knows no bounds.”
His chuckle was a strained one. “My tact seems to take leave when I’m with you.”
“Not complaining.”
He guided her down onto the bed and whispered in her ear, “I never did make good on my promise last night.”
“What promise?”
“To make you come again and again.”
She moaned. “Considering how hot and bothered I get with your kisses alone, it won’t be too difficult.”
“I intend to put some effort into it.”
He’d fully closed the blinds, either in an attempt to block out the morning sun or potentially prying eyes, but a warm glow from the foyer chandelier filtered in through the opened door of the suite, framing his silhouette and giving his blue eyes a soft tinge.
She ran a hand through his hair and said, “You couldn’t be more amazing if you tried.”
He let out a low laugh, the comfortable sound resonating deep within her. “I’m far from amazing. Give me a few years, huh?”
With a groan, she said, “Don’t remind me I’m older than you.”
“Doesn’t exist in my mind. Though I bet you can show me a thing or two.” He winked.
“Yeah, sure. I have so much worldly experience.”
“I wasn’t talking about worldly experience.”
