And came harder than ever

before.

* * *

Staci was in a complete and utter daze.

Every inch of her pulsed with a vibrancy even more radiant than during their first time together. Every inch of her felt electrified and branded.

And goddamn, did it feel good.

Off-the-charts good. Opening-Christmas-presents, winning-the-lottery, finding-the-pot-of-gold-at-the-end-of-the-rainbow—all on the same day—good.

She let out a silly laugh. A giddy one. Totally unlike her.

“What’s so funny?” Evan whispered, as though he didn’t want to break the tranquility of the moment they shared. The sheer bliss of afterglow that, for Staci, had only ever felt this spectacular with him.

“I’m not sure,” she admitted, her tone dreamy. “I think I’m having a brain blip. An abundance of euphoria that’s making me goofy in the head.”

“Goofy’s fine,” he said against the crook of her neck, where his face was currently buried.

Her arms were around his shoulders. She had no idea when that had happened. Last she knew, she’d been clutching his biceps. He held her in a tight embrace. Again, she wasn’t quite sure how that had come about.

Interestingly, he was still hard inside her.

She said, “You did come, didn’t you?”

“How could you possibly have missed it?”

She laughed softly again. “Because I was too caught up in my own orgasm?”

“Trust me. I have never come that quickly or that powerfully with any other woman. You are out of this world.”

“But you’re still so huge inside me.” She squeezed him tight, suggestively. “So that means we could—”

“Are you trying to kill me?”

Her laugh was a heartier one this time. “Most definitely not. But I think you’ve turned me into a sex junkie.”

“Just as long as I’m the only fix you need.”

“I believe that goes without saying.” She combed her fingers through his sexily tousled hair and added, “I lost track of the number of times you made me come.”

“Four. And the night’s still young.”

A shiver of delight ran through her. “Dr. Hart, you were certainly a treasure worth finding. And stalking.”

“Now you’re just being a smartass.”

“But you like that about me.”

His head lifted. He grinned at her. A lazy grin that made her stomach flip. “I like many, many things about you, Miss Kay.” He unraveled from her and pushed himself off the sofa.

“Then why are you leaving me?”

He shot a look at her over one broad shoulder. She pouted for him.

He chuckled. “The butler’s going to walk in on us if we don’t behave.”
