“For the record, I think it’s a smart move. Your talents are better served in the private sector. I’ll forward my itinerary. See when you can get free, and we’ll talk more then.”
“Thanks, Reed. I’ve regretted turning you down,” Alec replied honestly, hitting the power off button to his monitor and pushing his office chair backward.
“No, thank you. Talk later.” The phone disconnected as Alec grabbed his Robin mask and gloves, quickly putting them on to greet his man. His newest concern rested in how best to tell Key about all these changes. Should he talk about his changes in baby steps or dump everything out at once? He’d have to decide, but first, Gabrielle had secured Batman and Robin costumes. He had been dressed in this silly costume for two solid hours, waiting for Key to arrive.
Maybe he could talk Key into a little role play tonight. Shit. Key in spandex. That thought had him double timing toward the back door.

The weight and feel of his cut sliding across his back had always been like slipping into a second skin. He had donned the leather vest for his brief stop by the clubhouse to show his face around. His brothers’ spirits were low. His father was well-loved in the club. As much of a motherfucker as his father had been toward him, he was as great and loyal toward the other members of the club.
Normally, he’d have stored his cut during the ride to Alec’s place. His colors a big red target for any law enforcement he passed along the way, but not this time. Today was different. He had needed the reminder of who he was and where he belonged. Thank God it worked. When he’d first shrugged the cut on after a month-long absence, the leather had felt wrong. It took a second of adjusting the fit to realize the vest wasn’t different, he was, and that had been a total mind-fuck on top of a string of mind-fucks he’d encountered today.
After parking in his regular spot, Keyes shrugged off his cut, staring at the colors he’d been so proud to receive. That same pride had lessened, and he wasn’t entirely sure why or how he truly felt about the change. So little seemed to matter anymore. His focus rested on two things: spending the best quality time he could with Alec and then getting back to Alec after they were forced apart by their responsibilities.
This wasn’t going to end well for him. If he were smart, he’d get his head straight before it was too late. He heard the back door open and quickly folded the leather vest, looking over his shoulder. He stopped short at what greeted him. An uncontrolled and much needed laugh erupted. His mister stood in the doorframe in the perfect Robin pose, and boy, did his heart need that release of tension. The image just tickled him into a good mood. He absently draped the vest over his arm, going straight for his guy.
“What’re you doin’?” he asked, taking long strides toward Alec, not willing to wait another second to have the man in his arms.
“Holy Halloween, Batman,” Alec said, assuming the position, feet planted firmly on the ground, legs spread apart, hands fisted at his waist. Robin never looked so fucking sexy.
The pressure of his dick pushing at his zipper had him adjusting himself as he stepped eagerly into Alec’s personal space.
“You’re hot,” he teased, grinning at Alec as he wrapped an arm around Alec’s waist as his lawyer remained in character.
“Come on, Batman! To the Batcave, my engine needs revving.” Alec laced each word with dramatic emphasis as if he were in fact the boy wonder.
Keyes wondered if Alec had any idea how he lightened his heart. He grinned, tipping Alec’s head back for a kiss on his lips.
“I think Robin was a smaller guy than you,” Keyes said, keeping Alec close against his body so he could grind against the thickness trapped in the brightly colored tights. The kiss and dry humping was enough for Alec to break character. Keyes celebrated his victory when Alec greedily devoured his mouth then slid his palms down to grip his ass, pulling him in tight before breaking the kiss.
“You like?” Alec asked huskily, lifting his face for another kiss then another.
“I like a lot,” he growled, tossing his cut over the patio chair to better keep Alec flush against his chest. “I needed this with the shit day I had.”
“Hmmm.” Alec’s eyes narrowed. Right when Keyes thought Alec was going to step over their imaginary line of what could and couldn’t be discussed between them, the man nodded at him and simply said, “Then I’m glad you’re finally home.”
Key’s soft moan woke Alec from his light sleep. He held still, listening long enough to make sure Key was okay before he relaxed back into the soft bed. Probably a bad dream. He fluffed the pillow and tried to get comfortable enough to fall back to sleep. After a few minutes, he realized that was going to be harder than he thought, so he lay there, listening to Key’s even breaths and let his mind wander.
