All the sexual tension from that shared mind-blowing kiss now seemed a distant memory, yet somehow, whatever was going on with Thane felt personal. Especially after the last half-hour. Thane had sat on the far side of the bar, perched on the edge of a barstool, sipping from a cocktail glass that never seemed to empty while staring at him. Tonight was hopping for the club, a drag show performance, the first for the bar, had the club packed. With the whole place virtually standing room only, Levi edged around the crowd to the small section of the bar designated for the waitstaff. The lights that had dimmed fifteen minutes ago, now shut off, throwing the club into darkness seconds before the stage lights turned on and the show’s music began to play.
Levi ticked off a mental list of orders and called out three to the bartender. As he waited, a hand reached out from behind the curtain beside him and curled around his bicep. He was tugged behind the plush curtain. His body instinctively knew the identity of his assailant.
“Please, Levi. I’m sorry,” Thane whispered, turning him, pulling them together, chest to chest. The drag show announcer’s voice, along with the blood rushing through his pounding heart, completely faded away as Thane’s breath tickled his ear. “You’re driving me fucking crazy.”
Firm lips crushed against his as Thane’s persistent tongue pushed past his closed lips. Levi opened for Thane, welcoming the urgency of his kiss and letting the desperation of Thane’s words drive him, and dear God, he wasn’t disappointed. The man scrambled his brain. Like before, all thoughts of his problems fell away as Levi wrapped one of his arms around Thane’s waist. How many times had he wished for this? For Thane to come to him, to want him. He couldn’t pull the man close enough. Whatever this was between them felt too good.
Levi moved his fingers up Thane’s back, one hand stopping to hold him firmly, the other slipping to the back of Thane’s head, where he tangled his fingers in all that thick hair. Levi closed his eyes and just hung on. He surrendered to the frenzied domination Thane’s kiss evoked.
Both Thane’s palms slid to Levi's face, tilting his head. Levi’s tongue prodded deeper, a growl of approval resonated from Thane’s chest. Two strong arms wrapped like a vise around his body, pulling him snugly against Thane’s hard chest.
The stolen moment ended as quickly as it had started. Levi whimpered when Thane withdrew from the kiss. Levi even followed, reaching out, searching for Thane’s mouth, not ready to be done as Thane gasped, “Spend the night with me.”
Desire coursed through him as Thane’s palm smoothed over his cheek, his thumb tenderly caressing the skin as his forehead came to rest against Levi’s.
“Tonight. Spend the night with me, tonight.”
Levi wanted this to happen with Thane. He didn’t care what that meant. He would deal with the consequences later. Right now, all he wanted was this man.
“Okay. I’ll come up, but no talk of contracts.” Levi moved, brushing his lips against Thane’s, then Thane sealed the agreement with a simple press of their lips.
“I promise I won’t push you. I have a suite. Come there right after you get cut.”
Levi nodded, and Thane again placed a soft kiss on his lips, whispering right there.
“Promise me you’ll be there.”
“I will.”
“Suite 602. Please at least come to talk to me. Six, zero, two.”
Levi nodded. Thane’s smile made Levi’s knees weak as the arm locked around his waist loosened. He didn’t want to leave the circle of Thane’s arm, but he did, ducking back through the curtain, avoiding the curious stares of his team crowded there in line. His drinks were poured, sitting on his tray that had been pushed to the side. Julian stood in front of his tray, his keen stare boring into him. When Levi reached for the tray, Julian stopped him.
“You need me, I’m here.” Julian’s intensity turned to concern. Levi had no idea why, but his brain was still stuck in that devastatingly sexy kiss, his body still buzzing with all that pent-up energy and the anticipation of what the night held for him. He couldn’t wait. The shift couldn’t be over fast enough as far as he was concerned.
All he did was give Julian a nod as he took the tray and looked away, thinking over what he’d just committed himself to. His smile slid in place. Maybe now, he could think of something other than the possibility of being buried deep in that man or having that man moving inside him. He needed to call home, make sure his brothers were still good. Let them know he wouldn’t be home until early in the morning.

Thane’s heart raced as he took the elevator up to the sixth floor. The bad attitude he’d been throwing around for days had suddenly come to an abrupt end, transitioning to extreme anticipation. That second kiss had been as absolutely devastating as the first. Maybe even better, and when had that ever happened before? Thane closed his eyes, leaning back against the elevator wall, reliving that moment of startled green eyes turning seductive as they slid closed and Levi opened for him.
