“It’s just sex,” he whispered out loud. Yeah right. Just sex with the man I’ve been fantasizing about for the last several days. The same man who owns the company I work for. Shit! He was probably in over his head. National sexual harassment laws were made for boss/employee relationships for a reason.

What if he fires me?

Levi doubted that possibility, because the owner was the willing partner involved in just sex. Levi lifted his hand to knock but stopped mid-motion. Crap, he was going to text home and see how Linda, who’d volunteered to stay the night, and his brothers were holding up before he’d ever gotten this far. How had he forgotten that? Probably explained why he was still gripping his cell phone like a life-saving device. Damn, his nerves. Levi quickly typed a text to Logan.

The door opened in front of him. Levi kept his head down, but lifted his eyes from his phone as he pushed send. Thane stood in the doorway, looking like smoldering temptation and forbidden desire. Fuck! He smelled so good too.

Levi’s dick was already trying to get the party started, agreeing excitedly that, yes, indeed Thane was sex-on-a-stick.

He tried to hold his nerves in check, not so sure he could pull this off. Thane had changed out of his suit, put on something more casual. Except Levi wasn’t certain anything with Thane could ever be casual. Those brown eyes flickered with carnal promise. Levi was way out of his league with this guy. The choice of dark clothes did little more than accent the devilishly good looks, and Lord, did it feel like he was being invited into the devil’s lair when Thane stepped back and extended a hand to welcome him in.

“Come in.”

Levi’s phone vibrated, drawing his attention down to the thumbs-up emoji. Steeling his spine, Levi took a breath, dropped his phone in his back jeans pocket, and entered the suite. Nervous and excited all at the same time.

“I’m glad you came.”

Levi walked inside and just stared. He’d lived in the San Diego area his whole life. He knew people lived like this on the beach, but he had no idea how lavish the hotels were. His gaze swept the room, taking it all in. It was large and had a beautifully decorated living room, kitchen, and dining area with the whole back wall open to the patio. The dramatic blue seascape in the distance completely overshadowed the gray, black, and silver color scheme running throughout the plush room. The alluring ocean view beckoned him straight toward the patio until Thane lifted his duffle bag off his shoulder drawing his attention there.

“I’d like to think I’m the reason you’re so distracted.” Thane chuckled as Levi shrugged off the bag. The guy smelled so damn good. Levi turned and watched as Thane took his bag to the coat hanger and placed it on the hook. Levi needed to get himself under control, so he continued his path to the balcony, stepping through the open door into the unseasonably warm air outside, loving the feel of the breeze against his skin. He walked slowly all the way to the rail, breathing in the salty scent of ocean air. It was so welcoming and freeing.

“You don’t say much.” Thane’s smooth voice sent a shiver up his spine as the sexy club owner slid in beside him. Levi split his attention between the churn of the water and the man leaning against the rail, staring at him. He could feel the weight of Thane’s stare and the excited tingle starting to sizzle just under his skin from being watched.

“I’m in awe,” Levi said, glancing over at Thane, grinning. He turned back to the ocean, not really understanding how much the water soothed him until right that minute.

“Again, not about me. It’s the ocean that wins out this time.”

Levi gave him a sideways glance, grinning broadly at the man who just made him feel like he was on cloud nine.

“I love when you smile, but I don’t see you do it nearly enough.”

Levi didn’t know what to say to that. All he wanted was to feel Thane’s lips against his. He wasn’t good at small talk, and he was shit at accepting compliments. His brain was short circuiting, and having Thane so near had him wishing they’d skip the chitchat.

Thankfully, Thane’s warm palm landed against the back of his neck. No other words were spoken as he was slowly drawn to Thane’s lips. Chills broke out along his skin at the other man’s touch. He angled his body, moving chest to chest with Thane as firm lips slanted over his. Thane’s tongue licked across the seam of his lips, and he opened, their tongues meeting halfway. Levi groaned and sucked Thane’s tongue between his lips. He didn’t care if he seemed needy. Fuck it—he was needy. He slid his hands up Thane’s back and deepened the kiss as his dick ardently pushed against his zipper.
