Saving Savannah

For a moment she stopped talking. She only stared.
“Are you seeing anyone else right now?”
“No, of course not.”
“Then you’re dedicated,” I said. “And you’ve always been there. It just so happens we’re three people instead of one. Sometimes you see us together, other times you get one or two of us alone. But it’s no less important that way. Not for any of us.”
Roman and Zane were already nodding, affirming my every word.
“I hate to break it to you,” Roman smiled, “but… well…”
“We’re kinda in love with you,” Zane finished for him.
And there it was: the elephant in the room. The one big thing we’d been meaning to say, but didn’t know how to break it to her.
“It’s true,” I said softly. “We’ve talked it over a million times. Each of us loves you, Savannah. You have heart. You have soul. You’re a good person, a smart person…”
“You’re a sexy bitch,” added Zane.
“And a sexy witch,” Roman chuckled.
Damn, was this how we wanted to tell her? I guess it didn’t matter now. We were past the point of no return.
“But you can’t all love me,” Savannah said finally. “It just doesn’t make sense.”
“Then let me ask you this,” I went on. “Right now, are you in love with more than one person?”
She hesitated, but only for a moment. I could tell she knew the answer immediately.
“Well… yes.”
“Then why can’t each of us be in love with a single person? Who happens to be the same person?”
Her expression went suddenly deep, and I could guess what she was thinking. She’d never considered it from our end. She’s spent so much time going over how she felt about the whole scenario, she’d never stopped to look at it from our perspective.
Finally she looked back at us, sexy and beautiful. Her red curls spilling out from beneath her black pointed hat, her green eyes full of innocence… and something else.
“Is this really what you want?”
Slowly we all nodded, and for once no one was smiling. The moment was serious. It had gravity.
“Okay then,” she said shyly. “It’s what I want too.”
Now we did smile, and moved in to hug her as a group. We’d done many things with her as a group, but somehow this felt the most wonderful.
“I’m your girlfriend,” Savannah sighed, as if tasting the word.
“And we’re your three boyfriends,” said Zane.
“My three hot boyfriends,” she corrected him sternly. Reaching out, she cupped the side of his face in a tender gesture.
Roman took her other hand, and guided it below his kilt. “Your three hot, hung boyfriends.”
Savannah’s porcelain skin flushed pink, as her hand closed around him. She bit her lip, and I could see a rising arousal in her eyes. One that told me we were about to consummate our newly-defined relationship.
“How much time do we have before this… party?” she asked coyly.
Zane shrugged. Roman chuckled.
