Reaper's Till Death (Devils Rejects MC 3) - Page 44

Sweet Ass: What’s the …????

Sara comes out of the bathroom and throws herself on the bed. “I’m never eating salad again.”

“Don’t be so dramatic. What do you think the guys are up to?”

“I don’t care.” She curls into the fetal position and closes her eyes.

This sucks.

Amber and Shelly are taking forever. I swear if they snuck off to the concert without me I will kill them.

They return about forty-five minutes later. Their arms are weighed down with bags. Sara is still asleep, and Quinn hasn’t text me back. Asshole.

“You guys went shopping?”

“Not exactly,” Shelly answers. “We got the test and then we started thinking about if she is pregnant we bought her some gifts. But if she isn’t we got her some comfort stuff for recovering from food poisoning.”

“Right. Who is going to wake her up to take the test?”

“I’ll do it,” Amber volunteers and starts shoving Gatorade in her face. “Drink up. You have a stick to pee on.”

“Do I have to,” she moans and pulls a pillow over her face.

“Yes!” the three of us shout in unison.

“Fine.” We all wait, not so patiently, for her to get the urge to pee.

Sara is finally in the bathroom doing her thing. The wait feels like forever, but she finally emerges from the bathroom wearing a huge grin on her face.

“Yeah?” I ask her.

“Yeah,” she breathes out and we all squeal.

“I knew it,” Shelly and Amber both tell her.

Amber pops open a bag of confetti and throws it up in the air.

The four of us decide to make the best of the night in our hotel room jumping on the beds in our underwear and throwing the confetti like we are back in junior high.

Looking around the room at these three crazy bitches I feel like I belong. I feel like I do have a home with the Devils Rejects.

When I got back on that bus to come to Quinn I knew I was taking a risk. I knew I would miss my family, but the club has welcomed me with open arms.

The only thing left to do is have the meeting with my dad. I’m nervous. I know he isn’t happy with me.

I go out on the balcony to call Quinn since he never messaged back.

“Hey,” he says.

“Hey. Why didn’t you text me back?”

“I was on the road.”

“Oh. You going on a run?” I know I sound deflated. I know that it is part of his life. I was hoping he wouldn’t be going so soon.

“Kinda.”

“What’s kinda mean?”
