We both laugh and then I give in and kiss him.
Killian’s tongue slides into my mouth and it is as though everything bad that has happened in the past week has been erased.
We get to the hotel. It’s considered a local historic landmark. Killian said the building is over eighty years old or something like that. The room is okay though. It has a queen-sized bed and we have a great view of downtown Hinkley which really consist of four streets. The bedspread is some hideous maroon floral pattern that has seen better days, and I wonder if it is as old as the hotel. There’s a TV so I switch it on to some complimentary music channel and set the volume on low to provide background noise. I must be crazy for coming here tonight. No matter what Killian does I can’t seem to stay away. We’re drawn to each other. He feels it I know he does.
I kick my shoes off and sit on the edge of the bed while Killian is in the bathroom. He steps out and smolders at me looking like a predator ready to hunt.
He advances on me, and I remember something he said at the Dragway. “You called me your girlfriend earlier.”
He blinks. “Did I?”
“Mhmm and it was super sexy.” I crook my finger at him. He steps forward and a stomach cramp hits me. Crap. I thought I was done with my period because I started taking my pills. I was only spotting earlier.
I grimace.
“What’s wrong?”
“Um…nothing. I forgot my bag and we don’t have a change of clothes. I should probably tell Hayley to let her mom know we had a change in plans tonight.”
“Already taken care of. I had a text from Liam that they are staying here too, and he is going to drop your bag to you in about three minutes.”
“Oh. Good. Where were we?”
“I was about to lay you down on that bed and take my time reminding you that we’re good together.”
“Ahem. If I recall you were the one who said you wanted to hang out but not date.”
“Are you going to make me say it?”
“It’d be nice to hear it.”
Liam knocks on the door. Well I am assuming it’s him.
“Saved by the bell,” he teases and goes to the door.
“Here you go, man. We’ll meet you guys down in the lobby to go to breakfast about eight.”
While they are making plans for the morning, I slip into the bathroom to see if I am still spotting. I’m not.
I hear the door close and dig through my bag. I always carry spare panties when I am on my period. I change into the black lace bottoms and take off my shirt. I stare at my reflection in the mirror. I fluff up my hair and apply some lip gloss after I brush my teeth with the complimentary toothpaste and brush from the hotel.
I feel impulsive and sexy.
Chapter 31
Killian
The bathroom door opens, and my jaw hits the floor. Liri steps out in nothing but black lace undergarments. Her hair is tousled, and she looks turned on—like pure seduction. She struts toward me, swinging her hips full of confidence. My cock strains against my jeans. My pulse races as desire spreads through my veins.
I’m in so much trouble here.
I lean back on my elbows and she crawls onto the bed and slithers toward me. I swallow hard.
“Hi,” she whispers in a sultry purr. Her minty breath washes over me, and her legs go to either side of my hips as she straddles me. I go to grab her hips and she makes a tsk sound that rolls off her tongue.
“You trying to kill me?”
“Not yet,” she coos and her tight body presses against my torso.
