ntil he reached the spot she most craved. Then he stilled.
“Aren’t you full of surprises tonight. What? They didn’t wear panties in the forties, either?”
“Not the kind I have,” she teased. “I was going to wear underwear but this dress came out a little tighter than I expected and it’s white, so everything I owned made a nasty panty line.”
“Yeah, we definitely can’t have a nasty panty line. Whatever that is,” he muttered. He pulled her closer so that there was absolutely nothing between them.
She rubbed herself against him while he continued using his thumbs to drive her crazy. With the steering wheel to her back and Zeke in front she was completely trapped. Not that she intended to go anywhere. The pressure between her thighs kept building, higher and higher until she couldn’t climb anymore and the only thing left to do was fall. She bit back a scream and let the pleasure wash over her until it subsided and she was floating. It took her a few minutes to realize where she was again. She opened her eyes to find Zeke studying her.
“I love to watch you come,” he whispered against her temple.
“Then watch me again.”
It took him about three seconds to undo his belt. His pants, however, were another story. There was simply no way to get them off, or at least not off enough to make the mechanics of what they were about to do work. Not with her still straddling him. She shimmied off his lap and sat back in the passenger seat to allow him to yank his trousers down to his ankles. Mimi tried not to laugh, but the expression on Zeke’s face was so frantic, that it was almost comical.
“Come back here,” he said. It wasn’t a request.
Once again she went to straddle him, but instead he took over. He placed his hands on her waist and lowered her onto his erection. Little by little she adjusted her hips until she took him in all the way.
“Damn that feels good,” he rasped in that guttural voice that made her feel powerful.
She raised herself up a little, then sank back down again. Over and over until they were both moaning. This time instead of falling it was like someone lit a match inside her. Hot, delicious heat flicked through every cell of her body, making her scream out his name. A few seconds later, he came, too.
They were both trying to catch their breath when a bright light made Mimi squint. Then the light flashed blue and their gazes instantly flew to one another.
“Oh, crapola,” Mimi said, scrambling to right herself.
Zeke was a little calmer. He methodically pulled up his pants and was in the middle of buckling his belt when someone rapped on the driver side window.
“Let me handle this.”
“I have every intention of letting you do just that,” Mimi said.
Zeke lowered the car window. “Rusty, what can I do for you this evening?”
Rusty’s eyes bulged. “Chief?” He shone his flashlight inside the car. “Mimi? Is that you?”
“It better be me you’re expecting,” she said pleasantly.
“Well, yes! Of course. Sorry to interrupt! I was…patrolling this side of the bridge when I noticed a suspicious looking minivan. Not that your car is suspicious or anything. Then I circled back a few times and it was still here and there seemed to be some kind of…” Rusty stopped, realizing just a second too late where the rest of his sentence was going.
“Rocking?” Zeke supplied.
“Uh, I wasn’t going to say that, Chief. I actually thought it was more like shaking, but yeah, uh, it could have been rocking, too.” Rusty lowered his flashlight. “I just didn’t make the connection that this was your car. I mean…” He shrugged, looking perfectly miserable.
“Mimi and I just left a party. It’s been a while since we just sat and enjoyed the beautiful scenery here by the bridge. No harm in that, is there?”
“No! None at all.”
Poor Rusty. He looked like he’d just swallowed a seagull and the feathers were stuck in his throat.
“Good job, Rusty. I’m glad to know that you’re on the ball.” Zeke lowered his voice. “There’s no need to tell anyone about this, is there?”
“No need, no, siree. My lips are sealed tighter than a drum. Tighter than a seal on one of those Tupperware thingie jigs. Tighter than a—”
“We get it, Rusty.”
“Okee dokee. So, I’ll just be heading on out. You folks take your time. Take more than your time. Stay all night long if you want. I won’t be back to bother you, if you know what I mean.” Mimi wasn’t certain, but she thought she saw Rusty wink.
