Rex’s lips twitched. “Suit yourself.”
Luke grinned. “Corner?”
“Is there any better place?” Rex asked.

“Then I guess Lucy has you in training rather than vice versa.”

She bowed her head and stood, placing her hands behind her back. Presenting herself, she asked them, “Can I at least tell you my feelings about this?”
“If you can ask your question in a formal manner,” Rex remarked, setting his jaw.
“Oh God,” she whimpered. “I’m never going to survive this.”
“Sure you will,” Luke promised, placing his hands on her shoulders and guiding her to the corner. Once there, he added, “Now, because you’ve been a very bad girl, you’ll have to wait here.”
“I know,” she said, trying to accept responsibility for her actions while coming to terms with how she would be able to juggle career and family.

Luke stood behind her. He touched her forearms, drawing them behind her back. Once there, he unlocked the handcuffs and secured them around her wrists.
