“You’re beautiful.” Shane leaned down and blew hot air across her skin. “So fucking wet.” He spread her lips and bent lower still. She propped herself up on her elbows because she needed to see this. The veins in his neck stood out, and the look on his face made Bobbi’s blood boil.

He bent lower, and when he closed his mouth over her, she whimpered and would have bucked herself right off the bed if not for his hand gripping her hip. Shane licked and sucked and swept his tongue across her clitoris until she was a mess of want and need.

“Don’t stop,” she said when he leaned back on his haunches.

Shane tugged off his shirt and stood up to step out of his jeans. His cock was engorged, his body covered in sweat.

“Babe,” he said roughly, a hand between her legs as he moved over her. “I’m just getting started.” He pushed her back to give them room and unsnapped her bra with an expert move he’d been using since he was a teen.

His cock teased her, sliding across her clitoris, nudging at her opening, while his mouth claimed a turgid nipple. She hissed at the sensation and moaned when he increased the pressure between her legs.

“I can’t,” she said, thrashing about. “Now, Shane. I need you inside me now.”

He rose above her, then dipped low, his mouth claiming her again. “I love you,” he whispered in her ear, and then plunged deep inside.

She cried out. Or maybe she screamed. Who knew. The only thing Bobbi Jo was sure about was the fact that the man she’d loved since she was a teenager was the only man she wanted like this. Mind and body. Heart and soul.

He moved, slowly at first, but she wanted more, and impatiently, she began to control the situation, her hands on his butt, her hips moving faster and more aggressively.

“I won’t be able to hold back if you keep that up.”

She scratched at him and groaned into his mouth. “Don’t hold back. We can go slow the next time.”

“Woman, you’re going to break me.”

“That’s okay,” she replied, her words ending on a groan as he thrust in deeper, filling her entirely. “I’ll put you back together.”

They made love like they were starving, and when they came, it felt like coming home. Shane rolled over and pulled Bobbi along with him, holding her like he’d never let go. And for the first time in forever, it seemed, Bobbi fell asleep with a contented smile on her face and a heart no longer broken.

Bobbi stretched like a cat and rolled over, a soft smile on her face. God, she ached in places that hadn’t ached in a long, long time. With a sigh, she slowly blinked her eyes open, and that feeling of contentment lingered for a couple seconds until she realized Shane wasn’t beside her. She sat up just as the door to her room opened and he appeared, filling up all the space in her room.

He was larger than life, her husband, and that glow returned, the one that slid beneath her skin hot and urgent, awakening things that still tingled from the night before. An ache sprang to life between her legs, pulsing in time with her fast-beating heart, and she groaned, squeezing her thighs together to ease it.

Shane was barefoot in an old pair of jeans that hung low enough to tell her he was commando, a towel in his hand. His bare chest and hair still dripped from the shower, and when he strode to the bed, she lay back in anticipation, the blanket slipping as she did so.

“Morning,” he murmured, dipping his head and grabbing her mouth with his own. He kissed her, long and sweet, her head spinning by the time he withdrew. His tongue flicked across her nipple, and she reached for him, but he pulled away and ran a hand through his damp waves. “Babe, I gotta go.” His voice was rough, its edges resonating with her own need.

“But why?” She sat up a little straighter. God, her nipples were on fire and so damn sensitive. It must be because of the…

Jesus. Her eyes flew to his. “Shane, we need to talk. There are things…I…”

“I know,” he replied, those dark eyes of his serious. “We’ll talk tonight. Trust me, woman, right now, I’d like nothing more than to crawl back in bed with you and spend the entire day doing all those things we did last night again, but I’m late.”

“I’m serious, Shane.” Anger sparked something inside her, and she thrust out her chin. “There’s a lot to talk about.”

“I get it, and we’ll do it tonight.”

“I want to talk now.”

He frowned. “I can’t, Bobbi. Dora Lee is probably already waiting for me and I promised Mackie I’d get him a picture for—”

“Dara…” Her mouth tightened and it was the only thing she focused on. “Who the hell is Dora Lee?”

“She’s someone I met at the diner, and she’s posing for me.”

“Is she.” A ghost of a smile touched his mouth. He obviously found the situation funny, but it only managed to feed her anger. “Like Jane posed for you?”

In an instant, the smile vanished, and Shane’s mouth tightened. “We’re back there already?” He was pissed, but then so was Bobbi.
