The Geek Who Saved Christmas - Page 33

“Yeah. Too lazy to move, but I wanna taste you too.” Reaching behind him, he stuck a pillow under his head. He urged me closer with his powerful hands on my hips.

“I’m close,” I warned, not sure how much more I could endure.

“Even better.” Eyes flashing darkly, he gave a mischievous grin. I held my cock loosely with one hand while he licked all around the head. My ass and hips burned from resisting the urge to fuck his mouth. He tried to suck me deeper, and I did a controlled thrust, keeping it shallow. His grip on my ass tightened. “Come on. You can give me more than that.”

“You want more?” My voice sounded like the train earlier—fast chugs and breathy whistles.

“Fuck. Yes.” He urged me forward until I had no choice but to brace my hands on the wall in front of me. And his eagerness was even better than his warm and welcoming mouth, each desperate sound and greedy suck getting me there in record time. Control shattering, I thrust hard and fast, and he took it all. I reached one hand down, touching his hair, and somehow that one point of contact catapulted me into free fall.

“Oh. Damn. Coming.” I came in hard shudders, and he swallowed it all, sucking hard until the stimulation was too much, and I had to collapse next to him, narrowly avoiding kneeing him with my limp-noodle legs. “Okay. I’m dead now. Wow.”

My legs weren’t the only things wrung out. My insides felt all loose, like all the screws that usually held me together were loosened, undone by him and that unexpected connection. All the solo orgasms couldn’t hold a candle to how good it felt, sharing that with Paul, knowing he wanted it as much as me.

“Fuck. I almost came a second time, feeling you go.” Wrapping an arm around me, he held me close.

“Yeah?” I loved knowing that, loved having turned him on that much. I shifted to reach for his cock, but he captured my hand instead, holding it in his.

“I’m good.” He laughed, sounding as drunk and loose as I felt. “So good.”

“Me too.” Even my sigh was giddy. I was sleepy but still wired, flying high on every damn amazing minute of the whole evening.

After adjusting his pillow, he stretched, pulling the too-narrow cover over us both. “Hell, I really do need to go bed shopping.”

“Yes, you do.” I was one hundred percent in favor of him planning for a repeat. “A king will make sleepovers more fun. But I don’t want you miserable all night. Should I go?”

“Fuck no.” He held me closer, and I settled my head on his broad chest. “I’d be more miserable if you left.”

“Good.” I rewarded the admission with a kiss right over his heart. I couldn’t help my smile either. Paul wanting me to stay was like having leftovers of an amazing dessert, knowing more would be coming later. “You can have the pillow. I’m happy right here.”

Warm hand still on my back, he kissed the top of my head. I was happy. So happy I wasn’t sure I could survive it. And he could have the pillow, steal the covers, and talk in his sleep, and I still wouldn’t rather be anywhere else. Bring on the mattress shopping because I was sure as hell planning on making this a regular thing.

Chapter Seventeen

Free dishes! Ugliest set of stoneware ever to grace a table. Heavy as you-know-what. Service for sixteen. Free to a good home (or not so good! No judgment here! Just come take it!) ~Penny Jordan posted to the What’s Up Neighbor app

Paul

“Explain to me why I can’t accomplish this online?” I asked Gideon as I put my boots on. I needed more than my boots to be willing to brave a shopping center on a Saturday in mid-December.

“Because you need to test the various mattress options.” Gideon looked up from his crouch on the floor near Jim. Still concerned that she might bother the tree or the train, he’d brought her a bribe, a plush stuffed Grinch dog toy. I’d probably be hearing the thing’s squeaker in my sleep, but bless Gideon for trying to make friends.

“Oh?” I put some extra heat behind my gaze, not that I had to work that hard around Gideon lately. Apparently, my body liked the whole regular sex thing because I thought about Gideon constantly. “They’re going to let me throw you down right there on the showroom floor?”

“Not that kind of test.” Gideon had been in a funk ever since his arrival that morning. I should have come up with an excuse to get him to sleep over Friday. Then I could have guaranteed a better mood for both of us, but I hadn’t been able to come up with a plausible enough excuse for three nights in a row. Thursday, I’d gotten him to add menu planning to the schedule and kept him so busy afterward that he’d forgotten to leave. But right then, he was frowning like a guy who hadn’t gotten laid in six months. “Not everyone has the same definition of firm—”

“You’re telling me.” I was going to get him to smile even if it took an emergency stop for whoopie pies to do it.

“Behave.” He rolled his eyes when usually he was the one snickering at juvenile jokes.

“You’re in a cranky mood.” Finished with my boots, I grabbed my coat from the hook, but I’d enjoy this whole undertaking a lot more if Gideon would either return to normal or tell me what was wrong so I could fix it. “I thought I was supposed to be the foul-tempered one.”

“You’re not so bad.” Standing back up, he managed a half-smile. “And sorry. I’m simply frustrated because my coat rack collapsed on me, and despite my best efforts, it appears broken for good. It’s an older cherry one I picked up at an auction. Furniture breaking is a stupid thing to let bother me—”

“Show me,” I demanded, having to work to not grin. Smiling would be bad, but I was relieved that his funk had nothing to do with the sex we’d been having, Christmas plans, or anything I’d done. “Broken wood? I’m your man.”

“Of course you are.” He laughed, which was an excellent start, but shook his head. “We’re supposed to go mattress shopping.”

“The schedule can wait fifteen minutes,” I snapped without thinking, only to watch his face fall. Damn it. I’d forgotten how important plans were to Gideon. Reaching for his arm, I softened my voice. “We’ll go. Promise. Let me take a look before you send your favorite coat rack to the dump.”
