Play Along - Page 40

“They were perfect gentleman. Jack’s marriage had just broken up and Rick was getting over a broken heart.”

“Jack was married?” I ask.

She nods. “Yes, the bitch played up on him when he was out to sea.”

“Oh.”

“Anyway, I ended up staying in the spare room at Rick’s for the week with the two of them. Just as friends.”

I smile. “Yeah sure.”

“No, I’m serious. We were just friends, there was no uncomfortable dating thing. They talked about their women and I talked about my guy openly. We somehow formed a bond.”

I glance over at her. This story seems a little too good to be true. “Then what?”

She shrugs. “Then they had to come back to sea so they offered me to stay in the apartment while they were gone as a safe place.”

“Did you?”

She nods and smiles. “Yeah and I got my shit together a bit and saved a little money to repay them when they got back.”

“How long were they gone for?”

“Eight weeks.”

“So you stayed in their house rent free for eight weeks?”

“Yes. They let me have a safe house.”

“Wow, that’s nice.”

“I know. We talked on the phone while they were gone and…” She pauses as she remembers. “When they came back they were home for six weeks. I had planned to move out as soon as they got back, but they wouldn’t let me.”

I frown. “So how does it go from three friends to three lovers?”

“After about a month of living with the two of them I started becoming attracted to both of them. Different things in each man.”

I frown. “Like what?”

She shrugs. “Jack is affectionate and sweet and caring. He dotes on me and I adore him.”

“And Rick?” I ask.

“Rick is hot… like I need to fuck him all night long, hot.”

I laugh. God, I know that feeling. A certain person springs to mind.

“We went out for dinner one night and we all had a few drinks. They told me that they both had wanted to ask me out on a date, but because they knew the other one liked me, they hadn’t.”

I smirk. This story is kind of cool. “What did you say?”

She laughs. “I told them that I was attracted to both of them as well and that I would move out the next day as it was obvious that things were getting complicated.”

I watch her as she lies with her eyes closed to shield out the sun. “Then what?” I ask.

“When I was going to bed that night Jack came into my room and kissed me goodnight. There was tongue.”

I bite my bottom lip as I imagine the scenario. “Oh.”
