“Stace,” she whispers.

My eyes meet hers. Why did I tell her my real name? She’s the first person it has ever slipped out to. Idiot.

“Baby, listen to me.” She reaches out and dusts my bottom lip with her thumb. “You are in danger and I can’t protect you.”

“I don’t need protecting.”

“But, I will. Please know that.”

Our eyes are locked and I want to ask who she is and why she’s here, but I can’t. I know I can’t trust her. I wish that I could because a woman hasn’t made me feel like this… ever.

“You need to worry about your own safety,” I murmur as a warning.

“Can you get me a gun?” she asks innocently.

I bite my bottom lip to hide my smile. She has got to be fucking kidding? “Do you know how to shoot?”

She shrugs. “A bit.”

I run my hand up her thigh and slide my finger into her dripping sex. She is molten lava hot. I add another two fingers and she groans and spreads her legs for me. “Where did you learn?” I ask.

She closes her eyes and arches her back as I pump her with my hand. “My father used to take me to the shooting range.”

I give her a hard push with my hand and she cries out.

I want to yell liar.

I want to kill her right now for lying to me and making me desperate to be inside her while she does it.

“Suck my cock,” I demand as I grab her head and push her down. She gives me a carnal smile as she disappears down my body.

She moans in pleasure and the sound releases a gush of pre-ejaculate. My mouth hangs slack in pleasure. Hmm, so fucking good.

I lie back and close my eyes as I think of a way to kill the beautiful deceiver while she sucks me dry.

I tiptoe down the darkened staircase as my eyes glance around guiltily. It’s just on 7pm and Stace has gone to the gym for an hour, while I am supposed to be getting ready for dinner. The ship is quiet as everyone prepares for their night. The engine is the only constant sound. I’m exhausted and had the best day I think I have ever had in my life. Stace had a rostered day off and we spent the whole of it in bed.

The man is a bonafide sex god.

He makes the other men I have been with seem like really bad foreplay. I can’t believe what I’ve been missing out on all this time. His dry sense of humour makes me laugh and it’s weird between us. We talk endless small talk, neither of us asking questions about the other one’s life. I’m not sure I want to know what his life has been like and how he lives or why he goes by a fake name, and I don’t think he is interested in mine. Although, I’m not sure about that. He gives off mixed signals and I swing from feeling like the only woman in the world for him, back to what I really am… a roommate he is just fucking to pass the time. I’m under no illusion that this is anything more than what it is, but Hell, it’s fun. I know nothing more of him than I did this morning, only that he wasn’t kidding and he really does like to ejaculate to relax. Oh, and the small fact that I am probably going straight to Hell because when he jumped me in the shower this morning with no warning, we both totally forgot about a condom. He assures me he has always worn them and that I am the first, but doesn’t every guy say that to stupid girls who get lost in the moment? I have had the injection so at least pregnancy isn’t on my mind. I smile broadly. Baby Stace… wouldn’t that be something?

I have seventeen days left on the ship. Seventeen days and I am on my way to freedom. I get to the bottom of the stairs to find big, red double doors. If I go through the doors, what happens if somebody is on the other side? Fuck, I can’t see where they open. Getting into this maintenance room isn’t an option. I wonder if it’s manned all the time? I stand for a moment as I think. If I get caught in here, what do I say? Why would I be looking down here?

Shit, my mind is blank. Umm… I have nothing. For five minutes, I troll my brain, until finally it hits me. I’m looking for him. Stace. Shit, I mean Mac. I’m looking for Mac. Yeah, if someone asks me I am simply looking for Mac. He told me he was going to fix something and I came here looking for him. It’s simple, and most importantly, believable. I tentatively open the door and peer in. The room is dark and the sound of the engines is loud and churning. It’s huge with machines everywhere and doorways that lead into rooms. Okay, what am I looking for? I walk along the huge corridor as I search for what I need. I get to a room and I open the door and find desks with computers on each one. My eyes widen. Shit, do these have Internet? I close the door sit down and look at the computer in front of me. It’s got red lines in swirls on it. What the hell does that mean? I go to the next computer and it has a graph of some sort on it. The third has something else with all colors and swirls. Hmm, if I hit one of the keys, will an alarm go off?

I think for a moment. This could be freedom, but do I really want to ruin the plans I have to be saved?

I’m saving myself, remember?

I decide to stick to my original plan and go back out into the main area. I see a sign ‘Tools’ above a doorway.

Yes.

I walk into the large room and close the door behind me. I walk along the aisles as I search for what I need. I pull out the top draw… nothing.

The second drawer slides out and I smile broadly.
