“Are you trying to fucking kill me?” She moans softly, panting, her whole body flushed in the aftershocks of coming so hard.

“Five years, Jules,” I groan, my cock pulsing against her thigh. She whimpers, rolling her hips and letting my swollen head drag against her pussy, making her gasp. She reaches up, cupping my face and pulling me down to her lips. We both moan as she tastes herself on my tongue, kissing me even harder for it as her legs spread and wrap around my hips.

Her soft fingers tease down my rock-hard abs, curling around the base of me and making me growl as she gently strokes my thick cock. She moans into the kiss, pulling me into her and letting my fat head ease against her opening.

“Make me yours,” she whispers heatedly, sucking my tongue into her mouth as her pussy starts to open for me.

“Make me yours all over again.”

Three years ago:

I roll my eyes as I leave bar to head home for the night.

I can’t believe she did that.

Well, except I can. It annoys me when she does, but at the same time, I can’t get that mad. After all, she’s my best friend, and I know Meredith is just trying to make sure I’m okay.

Still, if she could go ahead and stop trying to set me up with her brother, again, that’d be great.

Gross. I mean, okay—objectively, he’s not a bad looking guy. But no way. Not a fucking chance. I don’t want him because I don’t want any man. He could look like Brad Pitt or one of the Hemsworth brothers. Or a combo of all of the above. And I still wouldn’t care. I wouldn’t want to touch him.

Meredith follows me out as I try and hail a cab.

“Hey, Jules.” I turn and she makes a pouty face.

“I’m sorry, dude. You know I just—”

“I know,” I smile genuinely at her.”

Her lips twist.

“Russ was the best there is, Jules. We all know that. I just want…”

“You want me to be happy.”

She nods. “Yeah. I—”

“Mer, you don’t have to worry. I’m fine these days, okay? Really. I’m happy.”

What a bunch of bullshit. I’m not happy. How the fuck could I ever be happy after losing him? I miss Russell every. Single. Fucking. Day. Always, and there’s no coming back from that. There won’t ever be.

“I know you’re just looking out for me, Mer.”

My friend sighs, reaching into her bag for the pack of cigarettes I keep trying to get her to get the hell rid of.

“Smoke?”

I frown, taking my head, and she rolls her eyes.

“You’re no fun.”

“Let me know how fun lung cancer is, okay?”

She snorts, flipping me off sarcastically as she slumps onto the bench outside the bar. I laugh as I join her, sinking down next to her.

“Look, Jules, it’s just that—”

“Meredith, I’m fine. Honestly.”

“Look I’m not even talking love here,” she sighs. “I just mean… you know.” She grins. “A girl has needs, Jules. And you’re not going to tell me you’re the exception to that.”

I blush furiously as she just keeps going.

“What about Carlos?”

My brow arches severely.

“Carlos as in Russell’s friend?”

Meredith beams at me and I groan as I shake my head.

“Uh, no. Not in a million fucking years.”

Meredith takes a drag of her cigarette and shrugs. “I feel like I remember him being hot.”

“And Russell’s best friend, psycho. Best friend like brothers-best-friends. Which means he’s basically my brother-in-law.”

“Not your real brother, though.”

I make a face. “You’re so far off base here it’s not even funny.”

My friend sighs dramatically. “You’re impossible.”

“So are you.”

She grins.

“Mind if I call him then?”

I roll my eye again. “Calm down, crazy. He’s married.”

She groans. “Well, shit.” She flicks her cigarette away and turns to me. “Tell me you at least stock enough batteries at home.”

My face darkness into a deep crimson.

“Jesus, Meredith.”

She giggles. “Sorry, sorry! Overstepping, I know.” She squeezes my hand. “But that’s why you love me.”

I snort a laugh as I drop my head to her shoulder.

“One of many, psycho.”

“So, what else is new with you?”

I groan.

“Darren called again.”

I can feel Meredith frown. “Wallace?”

I nod, and she shrugs.

“Well, he’s cute at least.”

I wrinkle my nose. “When did you develop terrible taste?”

“What! He totally is!”

I make a face. “Well he’s all yours.”

“Uh, yes please?”

“I get a total creep vibe from him. Like there’s something off about him.” I shake my head. “He always tells me how good of friends he and Russell were, but Russell literally never mentioned him. Not once.”

“You sure you’re not just projecting?”

I sit up and turn to her. “Huh?”

Meredith makes an awkward face, shrugging uncomfortably.

“You know, because he’s…” Her mouth twists. “Because he’s the only one who…”

“Who walked away from the base attack,” I finish for her, my voice heavy.

She nods, her brow crinkling as her eyes move to mine. “Sorry, Jules.”
