“I don’t want you to,” I force the words out.
“What do you want?”
“You to be my man in every sense of the word.”
He grins. “Then, that’s what you’ll have.”
I watch as he moves closer until my visions blurs and I blink. His lips press against mine, soft and cautious. I sigh and let go of the worry. Wizard has done nothing but take care of me since I got my property patch. I trust him. My body molds to his as he moans and pulls me closer. The hard planes of his body wake a sensuality inside of me I’ve yet to explore. This is a man worthy of all I have to give. He traces my lips with the tip of his tongue and I part my lips. When he sucks my bottom lip into his mouth my eyelids drift shut as we learn the taste of one another. He’s a smoked spice. Addictive, he incites fires and makes me burn from the inside out.
My panties grow damp and I moan as my core throbs. I’m not a prude, but the boys my age have always been clueless, awkward, and looking for conquests. None of them came close to making me feel like this with one simple kiss.
He tilts his head and delves deeper with his wickedly skilled tongue.
I was wrong, there’s nothing simple about what’s happening between us. A million sensations meld together. My brain is a hazy space, clouded with thoughts of Wizard. His beard is soft and tickles my skin. I giggle.
He pulls away and licks his lips. “Your flavor should be bottled and sold, Nev. But I’m not the type to share.”
“I know that, Wizard.”
His eyes darken. “I want to hear you say my given name.” His voice is husky and full of sin.
I know I’m in trouble, because I’m ready to climb aboard the sin wagon with him and take a ride. “Gage.”
He growls and my heart clatters against my ribcage.
“This is going to happen, Nevada. But I want to take it at a pace you’re comfortable with. I’m a patient man, but I’m also selfish. I want you in every way a man can have a woman. This is your last chance to back out.”
Behind the bravado, I can see a hint of fear. I’m humbled that I affect him so profoundly. I’ve seen him fell many men with one blow. The images of our limbs tangled as he drives deep inside of me steals my voice for a long moment, then I answer him, “I’m sure, Gage.”
“You’re sure of what?” He brushes the side of my face with his thumb. “I need to hear you say the words.”
“I want to belong to you…completely.” The words strike a chord within me. My whole life I’d done my best to be beholden to no one, and in a matter of months, this man had become essential enough to take me out of my comfort zone. He’d don
e more for me than anyone blood kin or otherwise. I wanted that permanently. I needed the look in his eyes to remain. His gaze bathes me in everything good in the world. Like I was something worthy of being placed up on a pedal stool. Cared for with a steadfast determination and a gentle hand. He’s had his ribs bruised, and his mouth bloodied for me and hadn’t batted an eyelash.
“Then you will.” He placed a kiss on my forehead. “However, we need to work, and I need to stop before I take this further than it should go right now.”
I take a deep breath to calm the raging fires he’s started. You’d never know that a man who could be so quiet held so much intensity inside. I’m honored to witness this side of him. He walks away and I study the way the blue jeans hug his firm ass. A heat flash runs through me and I follow him across the length of the store.

“All right, let’s call it. We’ve done enough property viewing for the day. I think this is our place,” Wizard says.
“I won’t argue with that.” My mind runs through the mental list I keep running to stay on track.
“What are you thinking about?” he asks.
“What I’m going to make for dinner.”
“I thought we’d skip home tonight and head to The Pit. I want everyone to know the arrangement between us has changed.”
My mouth forms an O.
“You got a problem with that, Nev?” His eyes turn icy.
I shake my head. I don’t want to make him doubt me. I know how hard it is for a biker to open up. In some ways, I need to prove my worth. “None.”
“Good.”
