He Loves Me Not (Bunch-A-Blooms 1)

“And what exactly would I get out of this?”
“Loosen the death grip you have on everything, and I’ll show you. Life with me is always more fun, remember?”
“All too well.”
“You say it like it’s a bad thing.” He scraped his teeth down her pulse point, and she moaned. “I majored in destressing your body. You’ve always pushed yourself too much too long.”
He pulled her back against him, and heaven help her, she loved every minute of it. Closing her eyes, she inhaled his scent and enjoyed his strength. For so long, she’d held everything down and put on a happy face because she didn’t want to bring anyone down. This once, she wanted to let go and allow someone else to take the lead.
“Mas.”
“I’ve got you.” Kissing her temple, he skimmed a hand down her waist to the hem of her green and blue pleated tartan skirt. “Are you going to let me make you feel good, Petunia? I want to do this for you.” He slipped his hand beneath her skirt and brushed his fingers over her plain white cotton panties. So much for granny panties preventing foreplay. The myth has been busted. He traced the crease between her thigh and her hip with finger light caresses that made her breasts swell and her nipples strain against her bra. “Would you like that?”
“Yes,” she breathed, surrendering to the hypnotic drug that was Mason Patten.
He pushed her panties to the side and caressed her cleft. “Oh, you’re wet, aren’t you? I’d tease you, but we have an appointment to keep, and I know how much my girl likes to be on time.” He circled her swollen clit, stoking the flame in her belly. The ache inside of her pulsed as her pussy wept. She closed her thighs around his hand. His dark chuckle echoed in her ear. “You have to open your legs, so I can get inside of you.” Her breath caught as he pushed two fingers inside and stroked her with his thumb.
She spread her legs wider, and he purred his approval. “Look at us in the mirror. We look so good together.” She pulled her heavy lids up and gasped at the picture they made. He had her skirt around her waist, her legs spread, while he worked her needy core with quick, deep thrusts. Her walls flexed, and her hips jerked in response. It’d been so long since she felt a man’s touch, and no one undid her like Mason. She ground against him, losing herself in the friction, fullness, and freedom. Pleasure swirled through her body and fogged her crowded brain until the only thing that mattered was this moment, this man, and the way he made her feel. Her body trembled like a leaf in the wind, and her stomach tightened.
He tilted his fingers, hitting a spot inside of her that sent her flying with a choked cry. She convulsed. Her vision went dark as she slumped against him, riding the explosion while she chased the high he brought her. She came back to herself when he kissed down the side of her neck.
“Better?”
“Mhmm,” she whispered, unable to speak. She opened her eyes and moaned as she watched him feast on his fingers like a man starved.
“You’re still as sweet as I remember.” He kissed her cheek, adjusted her panties, and smoothed down her skirt.
“But you—”
“This was for you. Now let’s go enjoy our evening.” He changed gears so swiftly, she nearly caught whiplash.
“But I need to clean up.”
“Uh uh. That’s for me. Knowing you’re wet, relaxed, and happy because of me.” His eyes darkened with lust, and she licked her lips. “Let’s go, or we will be spending the evening here.” He took her hand and led her away. This time she followed. She wasn’t the older sister, the dutiful daughter, or the business owner with him. She was just a woman with the one man she could always trust to care for her. Empowered, she yielded, smiling at the sweet relief that came with letting go.

Mason
“Where’s the better half?” his best friend, Bryce, asked as he entered the house.
“With Olive and Willow. We’re going to meet them there in a bit. They were doing some girl maintenance She said wax, and I didn’t want to hear any more.”
Bryce laughed. “Dude, I have to say, I thought this day would never come.”
“What? When I settled down?”
“No, man, when you realized you were head over heels for Petunia and have been since y’all were living together in college. No one you dated ever came close to touching that bond you two had developed.”
“Why didn’t you say anything, then?” he asked.
“’Cause I knew you. At best, back then you’d go into self-destruct mode and wreck a lifelong friendship,” Bryce said with a shake of his head.
He took the truth with a nod. He’d been lost coming out of college, unsure what he wanted to do or who he wanted to be. He’d taken to drinking too much, going through women like it was a race, and being a surly dick. Stern words from his father, the hurt he’d inflicted on those who meant the most to him, and a nightmare that he swore came from the maker himself about where the road he was traveling would lead turned him around.
“Those days are behind me and never coming back, bro.”
“Good. I didn’t like that version of Mason much.”
