Thawing the Ice (Untamed 1) - Page 3

“Do you trust us, baby?” Ryan asked.

She glanced up at him and nodded. These men had kept her going over the past six months. They held her when she cried, and gave her tough love when she would’ve laid in bed all day, drowning in her sorrow. The trust she held for them outweighed the fear that made her want to run.

Ryan studied Leighton cautiously. She’d always been a gentle soul, regardless of her ability to hang with the boys. The only child of a widower, she?

??d been raised side by side with Casey and him, practically family until she hit twenty-five. The day she walked in dressed from head to toe in body-hugging clothing, they realized their partner in crime was damn sexy. It’d been funny at first, being knocked on their asses. Then the feelings continued to grow, leaving them both in an awkward position. No game of paper, scissors, rock could ever determine who had the right to date her, and neither had been ready to settle down.

Leighton Pulver was an ever-after kind of woman. So they’d put her up on a shelf, a beautiful object they didn’t dare touch for fear of breaking. Then Carl died, and everything changed. It seemed only natural that she come and stay with them. It gave her a safe place to heal, and allowed her to avoid returning to the place where she almost lost her life, along with her father. The first few months of grieving they’d focused on getting her back on her feet, showering her with support and understanding.

With no family to speak of, she became theirs. As they fell into an easy rhythm, Ryan and Casey began to realize how deep-seated that possessiveness ran. Ryan nipped her finger and smirked when she took a shaky breath, determined not to let her head smother the flames that sparked between the three of them. Casey massaged her melon-sized breasts, and she purred like a cat. Ryan’s cock strained against his pants.

“Can we take you to our loft, Lei?” Ryan placed a hand on the small of her back, letting Casey work his magic. When she’d moved into the home they shared, they shifted things around, bunking together in a larger room upstairs so she could have the master downstairs.

“Mm hmm.” The dreamy sound made Ryan’s chest swell.

“Open those brown eyes, doll. I need to hear you say it,” Ryan said, drinking in the beautiful sight of her awash with passion. Her lids fluttered, batting her ridiculously long, black lashes. Her eyes were electric, a soft brown that glowed with enough passion to match what he felt inside.

“Yes, I want you to take me to your loft.” The husky quality of her voice was new to him. He glanced over at Casey, who nodded and stepped back.

“No,” Leighton whimpered.

“Don’t worry, baby, we’re going to take good care of you.” Ryan scooped her up, and she squirmed.

“Put me down, you’ll hurt your back.”

“Hush, woman. The only straining I aim to do is between those luscious thighs you keep hidden because it’s below zero.” Ryan gave her a mock scowl, pleased when she smiled up at him. His Lei had curves that wouldn’t quit, an ample rack, and a perfect heart-shaped ass. Her body might not be the height of society standards, but it brought him and Casey to her altar to worship. As cold as it was here, a man wanted something of substance to cuddle up next to. He climbed the familiar stairwell, sure life would never be the same.

He reached the upper deck, and found himself thankful for Casey’s OCD tendencies for the first time in his life. No sloppy mess of clothing and rumpled beds to be embarrassed about had them off to a good start. Ryan made the executive decision to sit her on the edge of his bed and took a seat to her left as Casey sat to her right.

“We don’t want to do anything to make you uncomfortable,” Casey said, taking the pressure of word maneuvering off Ryan’s plate. As the co-owners of their family’s lodge, Casey handled customers, and he did the bills and management. Ryan could give orders. It was the small talk that felt like having teeth pulled.

“I want it.” Leighton kept her head down, toying with the blanket, and Ryan smiled.

“Lei, are you embarrassed?” He placed his pointer finger under her chin and guided her head up until she met his gaze.

“Yes. I mean, it’s not normal, wanting two men, brothers no less.” Her words were so low he strained to hear her.

“Normal’s relative,” Ryan said.

She huffed and rolled her eyes.

“What he’s doing a horrible job of saying is, according to who? This isn’t some one-night-stand or strangers driven by lust and the urge to try something new. You know us, Lei.” Casey massaged one of her creamy brown thighs barley covered by his t-shirt in her seated position. Ryan mirrored him, placing his hand in the same spot on the opposite leg.

“You’re skin’s like silk. So soft.” He moved his hand up inch by inch.

Her breathing increased.

“I know we can do this, Lei. We never would’ve started it if we weren’t ready to take it all the way,” Casey said, moving in closer.

“W-what does that mean?” Lei asked.

“What do you want it to mean?” Ryan paused at the crease where her thigh met her pelvis. He ran his finger back and forth over the sensitive strip.

“I…don’t—”

Ryan skimmed the side of her panties. “Yes, you do. You just don’t want to admit it.” He breached the cotton barrier and groaned. “You’re so wet for us right now, your nipples are rock hard, and I can smell how much you want it. We all know this is for keeps. Why waste time pretending?”
